Office Chair Surface Damage
Different repair methods can be adopted for office chair surface damage depending on the degree of damage, as follows:

Minor Damage
- Minor Scratch Treatment: First, clean the damaged area with a soft cloth or soft-bristled brush to remove dust and debris. For minor scratches, gently sand the edges of the scratches with fine sandpaper to remove burrs. Then, apply acrylic resin or a repair paste. When the repair paste is semi-dry, sand it flat with sandpaper. Finally, spray on repair pigment and a color-fixing agent; alternatively, you can directly apply a repair agent.
- Peeling Treatment: Select a leather repair paste that matches the color of the chair's surface. Apply it evenly to the peeling area and use a scraper or sanding tool to level the repair paste. After it is completely dry, spray on a matching colorant.
Moderate Damage
- Leather Adhesion: When the peeling area is large, find leather of a similar color and adhere it to the damaged area with special glue. Then, use a low-temperature iron to flatten and fix it.
- Patch Application: Directly apply a patch to the damaged area. Choose a patch that matches the style of the chair for repair.
- Leather Patch Repair: Select a high-quality leather patch. When pasting, drive out air bubbles to ensure a complete fit.
- Break Pre-treatment: Use a utility knife to cut the raised edges into a 45ยฐ bevel to ensure flat edges. Then, clean the surface to remove debris. Next, use leather soft glue to repair the detached parts. If the crack is large, pad it with non-woven fabric to strengthen the adhesion. Then, apply a special edge oil that matches the color of the leather in layers. After each layer is applied, dry it with cold air.
Severe Damage
If the chair has large-area tears or signs of aging, self-repair is difficult. You need to find a professional interior repair shop for re-upholstering or refurbishment. Alternatively, you can directly replace the seat cover. Choose a seat cover that matches the style and size of the original chair for replacement. If the chair is a genuine leather seat and is within the warranty period, you can consult the 4S shop. In some cases, it may be replaced free of charge.
Daily Maintenance Suggestions: Regularly wipe the leather chair with a neutral cleaner and avoid using products containing alcohol or strong acids and alkalis. Use a sunshade when parking to prevent the chair from being exposed to the sun for a long time. Apply a special leather conditioner every 3 - 6 months to keep the leather soft and glossy. Avoid sharp objects from scratching the leather surface.
