Office Chair Surface Cleaning
Admin October 16, 2026
The cleaning method for office chair surfaces should be selected based on the material and the nature of the stains. Here are the cleaning steps for common materials:

Cleaning Regular Office Chairs
- Comprehensive Dusting: Use a vacuum cleaner (equipped with a crevice tool) to remove loose dust and debris from the chair surface, crevices, and backrest, preventing the formation of mud stains during subsequent cleaning.
- Stubborn Stain Removal: For long-standing stains, activate the steam rinsing mode. Evenly spray the cleaning agent onto the stains and use an electric brush head to scrub in a circular motion, utilizing high-temperature steam to soften the dirt and achieve deep cleaning.
- Overall Cleaning: For areas without obvious stubborn stains, use a slightly damp soft cloth dipped in a neutral cleaning agent to wipe, avoiding excessive moisture that could cause the chair surface to deform or mold.
Cleaning Mesh Office Chairs
- Initial Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove dust from the mesh surface and frame crevices, preventing dust from penetrating into the fibers during cleaning.
- Cleaning Agent Application: Dilute a neutral cleaning agent in a ratio of 1:10 and pour it into a spray bottle. Evenly spray it onto the chair surface, ensuring that the stained areas are covered.
- Soaking: Allow the cleaning agent to sit for 5-10 minutes to separate the stains from the fibers. For heavier stains, extend the soaking time to 15 minutes.
- High-Temperature Extraction: Alternately use a sauna machine (high-temperature steam) and a high-temperature cleaning machine to extract the chair surface at least twice, breaking down grease and killing bacteria through high temperatures.
- Water Absorption and Drying: During the cleaning process, use a water extractor simultaneously to absorb residual moisture, accelerating drying and preventing water stains.
General Cleaning Steps
- Pretreatment: For special stains such as coffee and oil, first use a dedicated stain remover for local treatment before proceeding to the overall cleaning process.
- Water Circulation Cleaning: For detachable chair surfaces, rinse with a low-temperature water circulation machine, using a neutral cleaning agent to remove deep-seated dirt.
- Steam Sterilization: After cleaning, use a steam machine to thoroughly disinfect the chair surface, paying special attention to frequently touched areas such as armrests and backrests.
Precautions
- Avoid using strong acid or alkaline cleaning agents to prevent damage to the chair surface material.
- After cleaning, ensure thorough drying. Mesh chairs can be placed in a well-ventilated area to air dry naturally, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent aging.
- Regular cleaning (recommended every 3-6 months) can extend the lifespan of office chairs and maintain hygiene.
