Loosening of Office Chair Support Column
The following solutions can be adopted for the loosening of the office chair support column depending on different situations:

If the screws at the connection between the seat surface and the chair legs are loose, first check the screw specifications and use an appropriate screwdriver to tighten the screws. If the threads in the screw hole are stripped, find a piece of sharpened small wooden strip or bamboo piece, insert it into the screw hole, and then screw in a new self-tapping screw of the same specification. Use the wooden strip or bamboo piece to fill the stripped part so that the screw can be fixed better. If the screw is too loose or severely damaged and cannot be repaired by simply tightening it, you need to purchase screws of the appropriate specification separately for replacement.
For the loosening of the support column of an office chair with casters, it is highly likely that the connection between the caster bracket and the chair legs is loose. In this case, first find the fixing screws on the bracket and use suitable tools to tighten them to enhance the connection stability between the bracket and the chair legs. If the casters themselves have problems such as wobbling or being unable to rotate, first pinch the clips on both sides of the casters, then forcefully pull out the old casters, and replace them with new ones of the same size to ensure that the casters can rotate normally and are tightly connected to the bracket.
In addition, there are some general methods to enhance stability. You can wrap 1 - 2 turns of Teflon tape around the screw rod. The Teflon tape can increase the friction between the screw and the screw hole, making the screw less likely to loosen. Or add a small washer. The washer can distribute the pressure borne by the screw and reduce the possibility of screw loosening. You can also drip a small amount of 502 glue into the screw hole, but be careful not to drip it onto the surface of the chair to avoid damaging its appearance. After dripping the glue, wait for it to solidify slightly, and then screw in the screw. This can make the connection between the screw and the screw hole more stable.
