Office Chair Stuck Backwards
If your office chair is stuck backwards, you can try the following methods to solve the problem:

First, check the status of the control lever. Some office chairs have a control lever beneath the seat to lock and unlock the backrest. If the chair is stuck backwards, the control lever may be in the locked position, preventing the backrest from adjusting freely. In this case, try pulling the control lever outward to unlock it and see if the backrest can move normally again.
Second, check the handle and base knob. On some chairs, the handle is designed for left-right adjustment: pulling the handle to the right unlocks the backrest, while pushing it to the left locks it. Additionally, there may be a cylindrical knob on the base to adjust the backrest's rebound support force. If the backrest is stuck, you can rotate the knob clockwise to increase the rebound force or counterclockwise to decrease the support force, adjusting the force to restore flexibility to the backrest.
If the chair has a reclining function and the adjustment is not working, you need to check the wired control switch. The wired control switch may fail due to automatic closure, which can be caused by a loose, broken, or detached wire. In this case, handle it according to the specific situation: if the wire is loose, adjust the nut position to secure it; if it is broken or detached, replace the wired control device.
Furthermore, adjusting the dedicated backrest handle is also a common solution. Chairs usually have a handle beneath them specifically for adjusting the backrest. If the backrest is stuck, try pushing the handle in to see if it releases the jam; if the spring is damaged and the adjustment fails, replace the bracket; if you need to adjust the backrest angle, press and hold the handle while using your back to apply pressure backward until you reach the desired angle, then release the handle to fix the new angle.
Finally, use the adjustment handle beneath the seat. Some chairs have an adjustment handle at the back beneath the seat to fix the backrest angle. If the backrest is stuck, sit on the chair, pull the handle while leaning back slightly with your back, and release the handle to fix the backrest once it is adjusted to the desired position; if you need to return to an upright position, pull the handle again and apply a little force, and the backrest will spring back. If there is an adjustment handle on the backrest, you can first recline the chair and then reset the handle to lock it; if you need to return to an upright position, move the adjustment handle.
