Office Chair Structure Assembly

Admin October 16, 2026

The assembly of an office chair structure generally follows a bottom-up sequence, with the specific steps outlined as follows:

Install the Chair Base and Casters

The chair base and casters serve as the foundational support components of an office chair. First, attach each caster to the chair base individually, ensuring that each caster is securely installed and can rotate freely. After installing the chair base, place the gas lift vertically into the center of the chair base. The gas lift is a crucial component for adjusting the height of the office chair, so it must be installed vertically and securely to provide stable support for subsequent assembly steps.

Secure the Seat Plate and Seat

The seat plate is an important component that connects the seat to the gas lift. Fix the seat plate to the seat using screws, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate to ensure it matches correctly with the seat. After aligning the screw holes, gently screw each screw in by 3-4 turns to initially secure the seat plate to the seat. Then, tighten each screw one by one to ensure a tight connection between the seat plate and the seat, preventing any looseness.

Connect the Backrest and Seat

Once the seat is installed, proceed to connect the backrest and the seat. First, use screws to secure the bottom of the backrest to the bottom of the armrest brackets, ensuring that the screws are tightened to create a stable connection between the backrest bottom and the armrest brackets. Next, align the mounting holes on the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion brackets, and use two wrenches to lock and secure the backrest to the seat cushion brackets with screws. This locking mechanism ensures a more robust connection between the backrest and the seat, preventing any wobbling or separation during use.

Install the Chair Body

Insert the assembled upper part of the chair body vertically onto the gas lift, ensuring a tight connection between the chair body and the gas lift that can support the weight of a person. During insertion, apply an appropriate amount of force to avoid damaging the gas lift or the chair body.

Install the Armrests and Headrest

Press the button located beneath the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets respectively, ensuring that the armrests are securely installed and can be used normally. Finally, place the headrest in the center of the top of the backrest, press down on the headrest installation area to make it fit more closely with the backrest, and then secure the headrest by passing a screw through the headrest fixing clip, providing comfortable neck support for the user.
