Office Chair Sticking Tutorial

Admin October 10, 2026

The office chair sticking tutorial can be divided into three types according to different needs: chair nameplate sticking, leather damage repair sticking, and film sticking. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Chair Nameplate Sticking Tutorial

  1. Preparation
Prepare clean, slightly damp and dry cloths, a ruler or tape measure, and a pencil. Select appropriate glue (such as double-sided tape, strong adhesive, nail-free adhesive, nano adhesive) and nameplate materials (such as waterproof stickers, acrylic, metal, wood, etc.) according to needs. Different materials have different requirements for the adhesiveness of the glue. For example, for metal nameplates, it is recommended to use strong adhesive or nail-free adhesive, while waterproof stickers can be directly stuck with double-sided tape.

  2. Cleaning and Positioning
Wipe the area to be stuck on the chair with a slightly damp cloth to remove dust and oil stains, then dry it with a dry cloth to ensure the surface is dry and free of impurities. Determine the sticking position according to aesthetic standards. For example, the nameplate is usually located in the center or on the side of the chair back. Mark the approximate range with a pencil to avoid deviation during subsequent sticking.

  3. Sticking Method

  • Sticking Type: Suitable for self-adhesive stickers or acrylic plates with built-in adhesive. Cut the nameplate to the appropriate size, tear off the protective film of the adhesive, align the nameplate with the marked position and stick it on, and gently press to make it stick firmly. If using strong adhesive, evenly apply the glue on the nameplate and the surface of the chair, wait for 1-2 minutes until the glue is slightly dry, and then stick it to avoid slipping.

II. Office Chair Leather Damage Repair Sticking Tutorial

  1. Material Preparation
Select a self-adhesive leather patch that is the same color as the chair to ensure there is no obvious color difference after repair. If the damaged area is large, multiple leather patches can be prepared for splicing.

  2. Operation Steps
Clean the damaged area to remove residual leather debris or glue. Cut a self-adhesive leather patch of the appropriate size, tear off the protective film of the adhesive, and stick it on the damaged area, pressing it flat. If the edges are lifted, use a hair dryer to heat the adhesive to soften it, and then press it firmly to fix it.

III. Office Chair Film Sticking Tutorial

  1. Preparation
Prepare cleaning solution, a scraper, a knife, enough film, and ensure patience and skills during operation. Film sticking should be carried out in a windless and dust-free environment to avoid dust entering between the film and the surface of the chair.

  2. Cleaning Office Furniture
Clean the surface of the office chair with cleaning solution and paper towels or a dry cloth, focusing on removing oil stains and fingerprints to ensure the surface is dry. If the surface of the chair has uneven textures, use a soft-bristled brush to clean the dust in the gaps.

  3. Measurement and Cutting
Measure the size of the surface to be filmed, and use a film that is 10-15 cm larger than the office chair for easy subsequent trimming. Cut the required film size with a knife, and stick it on the surface to confirm that the size is correct to avoid incomplete coverage due to too small cutting.

  4. Applying the Film
Slowly stick the film on the office chair, starting from one end and gradually unfolding it. Press it flat with a scraper every time a little is stuck to ensure a flat sticking and remove air bubbles or wrinkles. If air bubbles appear, prick the edge of the air bubble with a needle, and then squeeze out the air with a scraper.

  5. Perfecting the Details
Trim the excess film to make the edges fit the contour of the chair. Use nail polish or a original-pulp modification tool to cover knife marks or other imperfections to improve the overall aesthetics.
