Office chair steel tube cushions come in a variety of types with significant price differences, and their production involves multiple meticulous steps.

Types and Prices of Steel Tube Cushions

Office chair steel tube cushions are available in a wide range of materials, including plastic, rubber, silicone, and knitted fabrics. Plastic cushions are generally the least expensive. For example, a combined plastic footrest and cushion for round and double-tube chairs, with an anti-slip elliptical design, costs only ยฅ0.2 and has a maximum monthly sales volume of 4,950 units. Additionally, there are tube plugs made of a stainless steel and plastic blend, such as a 25*50 oval tube plug for desk and chair legs, priced at ยฅ0.10, with 10,000 units sold, and plastic and stainless steel round tube plugs with various prices ranging from ยฅ0.11 to ยฅ12.25.

Production Process

During the production of office chairs, the steps involving steel tube cushions mainly include the installation of the frame and footrests. Workers first use machines to bend steel tubes to create the chair's bottom frame, which serves as the foundation for installing the footrests. After welding the seat cushion to the frame, springs are fixed, and steel bars are secured in the middle of the springs for stability. When making the seat cover, workers lay leather flat on a workbench and use a template to cut out the appropriate shape. Sponges of the same size are cut and placed between the frame and the leather cover, which are then sewn together and attached to the seat frame. A cover is added to the base for stability, and the screw holes on the cover are used to connect the support structure, which includes a hydraulic device for adjusting height, a 360-degree rotating bearing, and movable wheels. At this point, steel tube footrests or plugs may be installed at the bottom of the support structure to provide anti-slip, quiet, and floor-protection functions.
