Office Chair Staff Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation process for office chairs and staff chairs is as follows:

1. Install the wheels Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-claw (star-shaped) base. Slight force may be required, and some models may need to be screwed in. Ensure all five wheels are properly installed to form a stable support structure.

2. Install the gas lift Flip the five-claw base and place the thicker end of the gas lift into the center hole of the base. Remember to remove the gas lift cap before insertion. Some models can be directly inserted; ensure the gas lift is firmly connected to the base.

3. Install the seat base Place the seat base on the cushion, paying attention to its orientation (usually indicated by markings or grooves for alignment). After aligning the screw holes, first screw each screw in 3-4 turns, then tighten them one by one to prevent the seat base from tilting. Some models require placing the cushion on a clean surface to install the seat base, ensuring the screws are securely fastened.

4. Install the cushion and gas lift Align the cushion with the gas lift and insert it into the hole in the seat base, ensuring it is fully seated. Some models require installing the seat base first, then placing the cushion on the gas lift and inserting it into the hole in the seat base and securing it.

5. Install the armrests Press the button below the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the holes in the armrest brackets. Some models require securing the armrests to the frame with No. 3 screws. Pay attention to the front, back, left, and right directions of the armrests during installation. Some procedures recommend not tightening the screws temporarily to facilitate subsequent backrest adjustments.

6. Install the backrest Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the installation positions on both sides of the cushion armrests and insert them. First, secure the bottom of the backrest with two C screws from the bottom of the armrest brackets, then align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the cushion bracket and secure them with two wrenches using D screws for locking. Some procedures recommend not tightening the screws of the armrests and the bottom of the backrest temporarily. After installing the top screws, tighten them all together to ensure the backrest is vertical.

7. Install the headrest (if applicable) Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit the backrest, and tighten it with two E screws through the headrest fixing clips. First, screw each screw in 3-4 turns, then reinforce them one by one.

8. Final inspection Tighten all screws to ensure they are not loose; install the armrest decorative caps (if applicable), and check whether the wheel and gas lift height adjustment functions are normal and whether the backrest adjustment is flexible to ensure the overall stability of the chair.

Precautions: Refer to the instruction manual during installation, as some models may have slightly different steps; avoid scratching the chair surface when using tools; if the screw holes do not align, readjust the angle and do not force the screws in.
