Office Chair Spray Cleaning
For cleaning office chairs with spray, you can use a cleaner containing deep-cleaning agents or a special water-free spray for mesh surfaces. Choose and test according to the material label.

Selection of Cleaner Types
For the persistent dirt on fabric office chairs, a cleaner with deep-cleaning agents can be selected. Such products break down stains through chemical decomposition, eliminating the need for vigorous scrubbing. Simply spray the cleaner evenly on the dirty areas and gently brush several times with a soft-bristled brush to remove stains, making it especially suitable for stubborn stains like coffee and oil. For mesh-material office chairs, a special water-free deep-cleaning spray is required. Its formula is designed for mesh structures, allowing it to penetrate fiber gaps to remove dust while preventing material deformation or mildew caused by water residue.
Identification Method for Material Labels
Before cleaning, check the chair's maintenance label to determine the appropriate cleaner:
- Label with "S": Only dry-cleaning solvents (such as petroleum solvents or special dry-cleaning agents) can be used. Avoid contact with water-based products.
- Label with "W": Water-based cleaners (such as neutral detergent solutions) are suitable and can be sprayed directly and then wiped.
- Label with "SW" or "S/W": Both solvents can be used, but the compatibility of water-based solvents should be tested first.
- Label with "X": Self-cleaning is prohibited. Contact a professional maintenance agency for handling.
- Label with "C": Enzyme-containing detergents are required, suitable for the decomposition of protein-based stains (such as sweat and blood stains).
Operating Procedures and Precautions
Regardless of the cleaner chosen, follow these steps:
- Pre-treatment Test: Spray a small amount of cleaner on inconspicuous areas such as the backrest seams or bottom of the chair. Press gently with a white cloth to observe for fading or material deformation.
- Local Cleaning: Spray an appropriate amount of cleaner as indicated by the label. For mesh materials, control the spray distance (recommended 15-20 cm) to avoid excessive soaking.
- Tool Selection: Use a soft-bristled brush (such as a toothbrush or special cleaning brush) for fabric and an ultra-fine fiber cloth or sponge for mesh. Avoid using hard brush heads that may scratch the surface.
- Drying Treatment: After cleaning, use a dry cloth to absorb residual liquid. Mesh chairs should be placed in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally. Do not expose to direct sunlight or use a hot air blower.
Special Reminder: Spray cleaners are prohibited for leather or faux leather office chairs. Use a special leather care cream with a cotton cloth for cleaning. For chairs with mixed materials, treat different areas separately to avoid cross-contamination of cleaners.
