Office Chair Solidworks Modeling
To complete the modeling of an office chair in Solidworks, follow these systematic steps:

1. Metal Frame Modeling
First, draw a 3D sketch as the path, ensuring it conforms to the actual curved shape of the frame. For example, use the 'Spline' or 'Arc' tool to outline the frame's contour. Next, draw a 2D sketch as the cross-section, with the shape determined by the frame's cross-sectional design, such as circular or rectangular. After completing the sketches, use the 'Sweep' function to sweep the 2D cross-section along the 3D path, generating half of the frame's main body. Subsequently, add a cylindrical structure at the end of the frame using the 'Extruded Boss' function, entering the diameter and height parameters of the cylinder. The method for adding the middle connecting rod is similar: first draw the 2D sketch of the connecting rod, then use the 'Extruded Boss' or 'Extruded Cut' function to generate it. After completing half of the frame, use the 'Mirror' function, selecting an appropriate mirror plane (such as the Front Plane or Right Plane), to mirror and duplicate the frame, obtaining the complete metal frame.
2. Seat Cushion and Backrest Modeling
The seat cushion and backrest are modeled using surface modeling techniques. First, create four sketch lines, which should be drawn using the 'Arc' or 'spline' tool, representing the edge contours of the seat cushion or backrest. The shape of the sketch lines should conform to ergonomic design to ensure comfort. After completing the sketches, use the 'Loft' function, selecting these four sketch lines as the loft profiles, to generate half of the seat cushion or backrest surface. Next, use the 'Mirror' function to mirror and duplicate the surface, obtaining the complete seat cushion or backrest surface. Then, use the 'Thicken' function, entering the thickness parameter, to convert the surface into a solid. Finally, use the 'Fillet' function to round the edges of the seat cushion and backrest, enhancing aesthetics and comfort.
3. Other Accessory Modeling
For modeling the chair legs, first draw a 2D sketch of the chair legs, then use the 'Extruded Boss' function to generate the solid. The modeling method for the armrests is similar: first draw a 2D sketch of the armrests, then generate the solid using the 'Extruded Boss' or 'Revolve' function. Details on the seat cushion, such as indentations, can be achieved using the 'Extruded Cut' function: first draw a 2D sketch of the indentation, then cut the material along the specified direction. Fillets are added using the 'Fillet' function, operating on the edges that require rounding.
4. Wooden Board Modeling
If the office chair includes a wooden board structure, first establish two reference planes, with their positions determined by the design location of the wooden board. After establishing the reference planes, draw a 2D sketch of the wooden board on the reference planes, then use the 'Extruded Boss' function, entering the thickness parameter of the wooden board, to generate the wooden board solid.
