Office Chair Size Description
Admin October 14, 2026
The common sizes and suitable scenarios of office chairs are as follows:

I. Basic Size Parameters
- Common Core Parameters: The seat height is typically 40-50 cm, the seat depth is 38-44 cm, and the armrest spacing is 50-70 cm. These parameters are suitable for most general-purpose office chairs and can meet daily office needs.
- Administrative Office Chairs: The height is the same as the common size (40-50 cm), but the seat depth is slightly wider, generally 40-50 cm, to accommodate long sitting periods.
- Auditorium Chairs: The seat height is 400-440 mm (approximately 40-44 cm), the seat depth is 400-450 mm (approximately 40-45 cm), the back height is 1020 mm (approximately 102 cm), and the seat center distance is โฅ580 mm (approximately 58 cm). These chairs are designed with a focus on space utilization and comfort, making them suitable for group activities.
II. Sizes Suitable for Body Characteristics
- Height Suitability: For individuals with a height of 160-175 cm, it is recommended to choose chairs with a seat height of 40-45 cm. The seat depth should ensure a fist-sized gap (approximately 5-10 cm) between the back of the knee and the chair back to avoid leg compression.
- Weight Suitability: For individuals with a larger weight, it is recommended to choose a widened seat (width โฅ50 cm) to distribute body pressure and enhance stability.
- Armrest Height: It should be adjusted according to the height of the office desk to keep the elbow naturally bent at 90 degrees when the hand is placed flat on the desk. Usually, the top of the armrest is 20-25 cm from the seat surface.
III. Adjustment Range of Functional Office Chairs
- Height Adjustment: The pneumatic rod can achieve a height adjustment of 6-12 cm to accommodate different heights or desk heights.
- Lumbar Support: It is recommended to choose an arc-shaped design with a height of 15-20 cm and a thickness of 5-8 cm to fit the lumbar curve and relieve fatigue from prolonged sitting.
- Headrest: The support point should be at the middle of the cervical spine (approximately 55-65 cm from the seat surface) to avoid neck suspension.
IV. Size Considerations for Special Scenarios
- Financial Positions: For prolonged sitting scenarios, it is recommended to choose high-density foam with a seat cushion thickness of โฅ8 cm to provide lasting support.
- Mobile Reception Positions: Pay attention to the wheelbase diameter of the five-claw chair feet, which should be โฅ65 cm to prevent tipping and ensure mobility safety.
- Conference Room Chairs: The armrest spacing should be appropriately widened (recommended โฅ60 cm) to facilitate individuals wearing coats to sit comfortably and avoid a cramped feeling.
