Office Chair Seat Pan
Office chair seat pans come in a variety of types, with a wide price range. Some products support customization, and the installation method is relatively fixed but requires attention to detail.

Types and Prices
Office chair seat pans can be classified into multiple types based on material and craftsmanship, with significant price differences. Die-cast aluminum alloy seat pans are generally more expensive due to their high strength and durability. For example, a certain die-cast aluminum alloy seat pan is priced at 40.0 yuan. Other seat pans made of different materials or with different craftsmanship are less expensive. Common prices in the wholesale market include 13.0 yuan, 17.0 yuan, 9.0 yuan, 6.65 yuan, 18.0 yuan, 8.55 yuan, 19.0 yuan, 7.6 yuan, 15.2 yuan, 4.75 yuan, 16.0 yuan, etc. Some high-end or specially designed products can cost up to 58.9 yuan. Price fluctuations are mainly influenced by material (such as aluminum alloy, plastic, steel), craftsmanship complexity (such as die-casting, stamping), and bulk purchase volume.
Customization Services
Some office chair seat pans support customization to meet specific requirements for size, load-bearing capacity, or functionality. For example, when purchasing in bulk, enterprises may request adjustments to the hole layout of the seat pan to fit specific chair models or add anti-slip and noise-reduction features. Customization services typically require specific parameters (such as size, material, load-bearing standards) and may involve additional costs and longer production cycles.
Installation Method
Taking the F18 computer chair as an example, the installation of the seat pan follows fixed steps:
- Align the holes: Align the bottom of the seat pan with the four screw holes on the cushion, ensuring precise positioning to avoid subsequent loosening;
- Preliminary fixation: Use four short screws (usually M6 or M8 specifications) to pass through the holes on the seat pan and screw them into the cushion. Do not tighten them completely at this stage to allow for angle adjustment;
- Final reinforcement: Use a wrench to tighten all the screws in sequence, applying even force to avoid deformation of the seat pan or tilting of the cushion due to over-tightening on one side.
Precautions: Before installation, confirm that the screw specifications match those of the seat pan and cushion. If the seat pan has adjustable features (such as tilt and height adjustment), test the mechanical structure for flexibility after fixation.
Purchase Recommendations
- Material priority: Choose the material based on the usage scenario. For home office use, a lightweight plastic seat pan may be suitable, while for commercial or high-frequency use scenarios, aluminum alloy or steel seat pans are recommended;
- Load-bearing matching: Select the load-bearing capacity of the seat pan according to the user's weight. Generally, the load-bearing range of office chair seat pans is 100-150 kg;
- Functional requirements: If tilt and rotation functions are needed, choose a seat pan with a mechanical structure and confirm its compatibility with the chair body.
