Office Chair Seat Disassembly
The disassembly of an office chair seat can be carried out following these steps:

Firstly, separating the backrest is the initial step in disassembling the chair seat. In most office chair structures, the backrest and the seat are fixed together using clips, screws, or connectors. You need to first observe how the backrest is connected to the seat. If it is a clip structure, you can try to gently pry open the clips with your hands or a tool (such as a screwdriver) to separate them. If it is fixed with screws, you need to use a screwdriver of the corresponding size to unscrew each screw one by one. Be sure to keep the screws safe to avoid losing them. After separating the backrest, the connection part between the seat and the gas lift will be exposed, providing operating space for subsequent disassembly.
Secondly, separating the seat from the gas lift is a crucial step. Raise the gas lift to its highest position. This operation can be achieved by rotating the adjustment knob on the gas lift or pressing the lift lever, depending on the chair model. After raising the gas lift, hold the seat firmly with one hand and press the lift lever with the other hand while gently shaking the seat. The purpose of shaking is to loosen the connection between the seat and the gas lift. Through repeated pressing of the lever and shaking, the seat will gradually separate from the gas lift. If you feel significant resistance during shaking, you can appropriately increase the shaking amplitude, but be careful about the force to avoid damaging the components.
Finally, detaching the gas lift from the chair base requires careful operation. Invert the chair base so that the gas lift points upwards. This step can be assisted with tools, such as placing the chair base on a stable surface to ensure safety during operation. Prepare a piece of wood and a rubber mallet (if a rubber mallet is not available, other soft tools can be used as a substitute). Place the wood under the connection between the gas lift and the chair base and gently tap the wood with the rubber mallet. The purpose of tapping is to separate the gas lift from the chair base through vibration. Be sure to tap with an appropriate force to avoid damaging the gas lift or the chair base due to excessive force. If the first tap is not successful, you can try multiple times until the gas lift is completely separated from the chair base.
Throughout the entire disassembly process, pay attention to safety and avoid using excessive force that could damage the components or cause injury to yourself. At the same time, the disassembled components should be properly stored for subsequent installation or maintenance purposes.
