Office Chair Seat Assembly
The assembly steps for an office chair seat are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift
Attach each caster wheel to the chair base, ensuring a secure connection between each wheel and the base. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the chair base, ensuring it fits snugly without any wobbling. The gas lift is a crucial component for adjusting the seat height, so it must be installed vertically to prevent tilting or jamming during subsequent use.
Step 2: Secure the Seat Plate to the Seat Cushion
Place the seat plate on the seat cushion, paying attention to its orientation (usually marked or notched to align with the cushion). After aligning the four screw holes on the seat plate with those on the cushion, use a screwdriver to insert each screw 3-4 turns initially, ensuring all screws are loosely fixed before tightening them one by one. This step prevents the seat plate from becoming loose due to incomplete tightening. Some assembly instructions mention that the seat plate and cushion can also be directly connected with screws, depending on the type of accessories. If armrests are involved, use four M625mm screws to secure the armrests to the backrest and four M630mm screws to connect the armrests to the seat cushion, ensuring the armrests are stable and do not wobble.
Step 3: Connect the Backrest to the Seat Cushion
After the seat cushion is installed, connect the backrest to it. There are two common methods:
- Angle Bracket Fixing Method: Use angle brackets at the connection between the backrest and seat cushion, securing them with screws to ensure a seamless joint.
- Multi-Screw Fixing Method: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the cushion and insert them. First, use two C screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket, then align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with those on the cushion bracket and use two wrenches to lock them with D screws. This method requires ensuring that all screws are tightened evenly to prevent the backrest from tilting. Some assembly instructions still mention using M625mm and M630mm screws to secure the armrests to the backrest and the armrests to the cushion, respectively, depending on the actual accessories.
Step 4: Install the Seat Cushion and Gas Lift
Align the assembled seat cushion (including the seat plate) with the top of the gas lift and insert it vertically into the hole in the seat plate, ensuring a perfect fit without any looseness. After insertion, gently shake the cushion to check for stability. Once this step is completed, the seat portion of the office chair is assembled, and you can proceed with functional tests (such as height adjustment and backrest tilting).
During assembly, pay attention to screw specifications and installation order to avoid omissions or incorrect installations that could lead to structural instability. If you encounter mismatched accessories or installation difficulties, refer to the product manual or contact after-sales support for assistance.
