Office Chair Sampling Inspection Method
The office chair sampling inspection method mainly includes four aspects: sampling method, inspection procedure, inspection basis and items, and determination rules.

Sampling Method: Random sampling is adopted, with samples taken from the products to be sold by the sampled manufacturers and sellers. Random numbers can be generated through methods such as random number tables to ensure the randomness and fairness of sampling. For each batch of products, 4 samples are taken, of which 3 are used as inspection samples for the detection of various performance indicators, and 1 is used as a spare sample for use when problems occur with the inspection samples or when re-inspection is required.
Inspection Procedure:
- Task Commissioning: For key products of concern across the county, the quality supervision and sampling inspection plan will specify that the sampling and inspection work shall be undertaken by relevant inspection institutions. The commissioned inspection institutions shall not subcontract the inspection tasks without consent, and the commissioned sampling institutions or departments shall not further commission other units for sampling without consent to ensure the standardization and professionalism of the sampling inspection work.
- Inspection Validity: At least 2 sampling personnel shall participate in the sampling process and present the 'Inspection Notice' or documents proving their identities to the inspected enterprises. Sampling is not allowed under certain circumstances, such as when the products are not included in the scope of the supervision and sampling inspection tasks, or when there is evidence proving that the products to be inspected are not for sale or are not products to be sold. If the sampling unit violates the requirements, the samples taken are invalid, and the inspected enterprises have the right to refuse and shall cooperate in providing supporting materials. Enterprises that refuse legal sampling inspections without justifiable reasons will be dealt with in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Planned Batches: The number of batches to be inspected shall be strictly implemented according to the planned number of batches. If the sampling unit finds that the same type (category) of products from the same enterprise have already been sampled by another sampling unit, sampling shall be terminated and reported. If samples from enterprises within the plan cannot be obtained, a list of enterprises shall be provided with explanations. With the written consent of the plan implementation department and without exceeding the total planned number of batches, sampling inspection of the same type (category) of products from enterprises outside the plan is allowed. Violations will result in non-payment of inspection fees and criticism through notification.
Inspection Basis and Items: The inspection items include multiple indicators such as formaldehyde emission, TVOC, and stability. The inspection methods are based on relevant standards such as QB/T 2280โ2016. The inspection items for Sample 1 are numbered 1 to 8; for Sample 2, they are numbered 9 to 10; and for Sample 3, they are numbered 11 to 14. For products that implement enterprise standards, group standards, or local standards, the inspection items shall be carried out with reference to the above content.
Determination Rules: Determination shall be made in accordance with the currently valid enterprise standards, group standards, and local standards for office furniture and office chairs in QB/T 2280โ2016, as well as the explicitly stated quality requirements of the products. If all inspection items pass, it is determined that no non-conformities are found in the inspected items of the sampled products. If any one or more inspection items fail, it is determined that the sampled products are non-conforming.
