Office Chair Sample Cutting
The cutting of office chair samples can refer to the following methods, with specific steps and key points as follows:

Cutting with Cardboard
First, prepare a large enough piece of cardboard to ensure it can fully wrap around the chair. Place the chair steadily and cover it with the cardboard, making it fit all parts of the chair, including the backrest, seat, and armrests. Use scissors to cut the cardboard along the edges of the chair into a shape similar to the chair. Note to leave a certain seam allowance at key connection points. The width of the seam allowance is usually determined according to the thickness of the material and the sewing process, generally 0.5 - 1 centimeter, to ensure that the material has enough stretching space during subsequent sewing. After completing the cardboard cutting, place it flat on the selected material, such as fabric or leather, and use a marker to mark the shape on the material along the edges of the cardboard. Use scissors again to cut the material along the marked lines. During the cutting process, keep the scissors perpendicular to the surface of the material to ensure neat cutting edges. Finally, sew the cut material according to the design requirements to form a complete office chair cover.
Cutting with a Template
Use a tape measure and other tools to accurately measure the key dimensions of the chair, including the height and width of the backrest, the length and width of the seat, and the height and length of the armrests. Based on the measured data, draw a template of the chair on a piece of cardboard or plastic board. When drawing, consider the stretchability of the material and the sewing allowance. Place the made template on the selected material and fix it with heavy objects to prevent it from moving during the cutting process. Use scissors to cut the material along the edges of the template. When cutting, pay attention to applying even force to avoid material deformation. After cutting, check whether the dimensions and shape of the material meet the requirements. If there are deviations, make appropriate trims. Finally, sew the cut material.
Leather Sample Cutting
Before cutting the leather, perform a smoothing treatment. Spread it evenly on the cutting table to remove wrinkles and unevenness on the leather surface. Place the cardboard template on the leather according to the template. Note to avoid natural flaws on the leather, such as scars and color spots, and choose parts of the leather with uniform texture and no flaws for cutting. Through careful planning and cutting, obtain all the parts needed to make the chair from a large piece of leather. Try to use parts from the same piece of leather to ensure that the chair has a consistent appearance and texture. When cutting, you can use special leather cutting tools, such as a leather knife, to ensure neat and smooth cutting edges.
