Office Chair Rotation Template

Admin October 12, 2026

The office chair rotation template mainly refers to model drawings used for designing or demonstrating the rotation function of office chairs. Currently, Mufeng Network provides two typical templates.

The first template is a rotating office chair model drawing, which falls under the category of computer chairs and office chairs. Its core feature is that the seating part can rotate. This model is created with a realistic effect. Although it does not contain parameters, it supports modification operations. The file format is x_t, compatible with SolidWorks 2018. This template is suitable for scenarios where there is a preliminary design need for the rotation structure of office chairs or where a basic model needs to be quickly obtained for secondary development. Since it does not contain parameters, manual adjustments to dimensions, angles, and other details are required during modification, making it suitable for users who are familiar with software operations and seek flexibility.

The second template is a rotating seat model drawing, also belonging to the category of computer chairs and office chairs. The seating part can rotate and is further divided into two types: semi-rotating chairs and fully rotating chairs. Semi-rotating chairs typically have limited rotation angles (such as 180ยฐ or 270ยฐ) and are suitable for scenarios with limited space or where only local adjustments are needed. Fully rotating chairs support 360ยฐ unrestricted rotation, meeting the needs for flexible multi-directional operations. The model drawing is in SolidWorks 2020 version, with formats including sldasm (assembly) and sldprt (part), supporting editing and containing parameters. Parametric design allows users to automatically update the model by modifying key parameters (such as seat diameter, rotation axis height, etc.), significantly improving design efficiency, especially suitable for scenarios requiring batch adjustments or standardized production.

Factors to consider when choosing a template:

  1. Software version compatibility: The SolidWorks 2018 template cannot be directly opened in the 2020 version. It is necessary to confirm the software version or perform format conversion.
  2. Design requirement complexity: If a basic model needs to be quickly obtained, choose a non-parametric template; if efficient adjustment of dimensions or structure is required, a parametric template is better.
  3. Rotation function type: Choose a semi-rotating or fully rotating chair template according to the usage scenario to avoid functional redundancy or insufficiency.

Template application scenarios:

  • Product design phase: Verify the feasibility of the rotation structure through the model and optimize mechanical transmission or bearing layout.
  • Production and manufacturing phase: The parametric template can quickly generate drawings of office chairs with different specifications, reducing repetitive drawing work.
  • Teaching demonstration: Intuitively demonstrate the rotation principle of office chairs to assist in understanding mechanical design or ergonomics knowledge.
