Office Chair Rotation Lock
Office chair rotation lock can be achieved through the following methods:

Using the built-in adjustment knob on the seat
Some mid-to-high-end swivel chairs are designed with round or square adjustment knobs at the base or under the seat. These knobs are typically used to control functions such as chair height and tilt angle. Some models come with an independent locking button or achieve the locking function through the gear design of the knob itself. When using, first adjust the chair to the desired state (such as height and angle), then press the locking button or rotate the knob to the locking gear to fix the current position and prevent accidental rotation. This method is simple to operate, but it is important to note the design differences among different brands. Some knobs may require long-pressing or rotating to a specific angle to take effect.
Locking via an inward-pushing rotary rod
Some office chairs use an inward-pushing rotary rod design for their rotation locking mechanism. This type of rod is usually located at the bottom or side of the chair. Users need to push the rod inward to the catch position, at which point the chair will enter a locked state and cannot rotate freely. To unlock, simply pull the rod outward to restore the rotation function. This method is suitable for swivel chairs with a relatively simple structure, but it is important to pay attention to the pushing force to avoid damaging the rod due to improper operation.
Operating the locking switch under the seat
The rotation locking mechanism of most computer chairs is located under the seat, usually in the form of a round or wrench-shaped adjustment lever. When operating, users need to squat down or bend over to reach the adjustment lever: if it is an upward-pulling design, lift the adjustment lever upward to unlock, adjust the angle, and then release it. The adjustment lever will automatically reset and lock; if it is an outward-pulling design, pull the adjustment lever outward, adjust the angle, and then push it back into place to lock. This method has a wide coverage and is suitable for most ordinary office chairs, but it is important to note the initial position of the adjustment lever (for example, some chairs need to be in the unlocked state to adjust the angle).
Precautions
- Before operating, confirm the chair model and the type of locking mechanism to avoid damage caused by misoperation.
- After locking, it is recommended to gently shake the chair to test if it is fixed and ensure safety.
- If the locking mechanism fails, it may be due to wear of internal parts. Contact after-sales service for repair and do not disassemble it yourself.
