The functions and operation methods of office chair rocking switches vary depending on the type, which can be divided into the following three categories:

1. Ordinary Office Chair Handle Adjustment Type

Some office chairs control the backrest rebound force through a handle on the side or bottom of the chair. Its core function is to adjust the resistance when leaning back. To operate, first activate the backrest leaning function (usually unlocked by a lever/button on the underside or side of the backrest), and then rotate the handle:

• Clockwise (or counterclockwise in some cases) rotation: Increases the backrest rebound force, making the resistance stronger when leaning back, suitable for scenarios requiring a fixed sitting posture;
• Reverse rotation: Decreases the rebound force, making leaning back easier, suitable for relaxation or short breaks. This type of switch has no fixed position and requires finding the handle according to the chair's design. No additional fixing is needed after adjustment, and the force change takes effect immediately.

2. AutoFull Gaming Chair Free Mode Type

The Free Mode of AutoFull gaming chairs supports gentle rocking of about 25° forward and backward. The switch is a metal lifting rod located on the right side of the seat. Operation requires two steps:

1. Activate the reclining state: Adjust the backrest to the maximum reclining angle (usually 135°-150°) using the lever/button on the underside or side of the backrest;
2. Enable Free Mode: Pull the metal lifting rod outward. When you hear a "click" sound or feel the rod is fixed, the mode is activated successfully. At this point, the chair can rock freely within the set angle. To turn it off, push the lifting rod back into place. Note: If you pull the rod without first adjusting the backrest angle, the mode may not start or the chair may get stuck.

3. Rocking Chair Type Button Control Type

Some smart rocking chairs (such as models with massage functions) use electronic button switches. Operation requires combining the power and function buttons:

1. Start the device: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds after powering on. When the indicator light comes on, the device is started;
2. Adjust the rocking amplitude: Use the up and down arrow buttons to control the rocking angle (adjust at intervals of 5 seconds and wait for the action to complete before proceeding to the next step);
3. Switch modes (optional): Some models require pressing the M button to switch between massage and rocking functions. Follow the screen prompts or the instruction manual for operation. This type of switch is usually located on the right control panel of the seat. It needs to be powered on for use, and the rocking amplitude and massage function may be controlled independently.
