Office Chair Replacement

Office chair replacement can be divided into three types based on different needs: material replacement, brand and model replacement, and component replacement. The specific operations are as follows:

Material Replacement: This is mainly used to adjust the color and texture of the office chair to match the environment or personal aesthetic preferences. The operation steps are as follows: First, click to select the office chair that needs to be replaced (the selected state usually has visual feedback, such as when the entire room is green, the selected chair will be highlighted). After entering the 3D view of the room, a 'Change Material' function button will be displayed at the top of the interface. Click to enter the material replacement interface, and select the part to be replaced on the left (such as the seat surface, backrest, etc.). The selected part will be highlighted in green. Then, click the material ball to select the target material. After replacement, you can further adjust the width and direction of the wood grain and other details through the texture scaling, rotation, and movement buttons above the furniture. If you are not satisfied after replacement, you can click on the furniture again to enter the material replacement interface, and the 'Restore Default' button in the upper right corner can restore the furniture to its original color and texture.

Brand and Model Replacement: This is usually planned uniformly by the enterprise to enhance the consistency of the office experience or solve functional problems. For example, ByteDance once launched a centralized replacement plan for office chairs in domestic workplaces, replacing the Humanscale brand with 'Qingxian s1', covering work areas such as Fangheng and Dazhongsi in Beijing and Xinjiangwan in Shanghai, with a time span from August 2026 to the second quarter of 2027. This replacement aimed to solve comfort issues such as employees' feedback that the 'backrest could not be locked', while ensuring a consistent experience across work areas. As an innovative brand selected by Luo Yonghao's team, 'Qingxian s1' needs to be uniformly deployed through the enterprise procurement process. If individual users need a similar replacement, they can refer to enterprise standards to select brands and models that meet ergonomic design and functional matching requirements.

Component Replacement (Taking wheels as an example): This is for repair needs due to local damage. The operation needs to be distinguished according to the fixing method of the wheels. If fixed by screws, use the handle to unscrew the old wheel counterclockwise and screw in the new wheel clockwise. If fixed by a rod, simply pull out the old wheel. If it cannot be pulled out due to tight clips, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the wheel and the rod and gently tap the plastic clip, or use pliers to clamp the rod and tap it with a hammer to loosen it. When installing the new wheel, align the fork with the hole on the chair leg and press it vertically until it is fully embedded. When replacing components, pay attention to selecting models that match the specifications of the original components to avoid installation failures or abnormal use due to size mismatches.
