Office Chair Repair Glue

Admin October 19, 2026

The choice of office chair repair glue should be determined based on the material and repair needs.

For wooden office chairs, the commonly used repair glues are as follows:

  • 925 Woodworking Glue: This glue is transparent and formaldehyde-free, ensuring that no harmful gases are released after use, thereby safeguarding the health and safety of the office environment. Additionally, it dries quickly, enabling rapid bonding of wood and improving repair efficiency, making it suitable for daily repair work on wooden office chairs.
  • Slow-Drying Special Glue for Solid Wood and Rosewood: Designed specifically for high-end woods such as solid wood and rosewood, this glue not only excels in bonding wooden furniture but also serves for filling and repairing. Its slow-drying property allows sufficient time for adjustments and positioning during the repair process, ensuring a flat and secure repair site, making it suitable for wooden office chairs with high repair quality requirements.

For more severe damages such as broken backrests of computer chairs, AB glue or foundry glue are good choices. AB glue is a mixture of two glues that, after curing, exhibits high strength and toughness, effectively bonding broken backrests and restoring their functionality. Foundry glue, on the other hand, has excellent filling and bonding properties, capable of filling gaps in broken areas and making the repair site more durable.

For office chairs made of other materials, such as plastic and metal, when selecting repair glue, priority should be given to products with strong adhesive properties. Strong adhesive glues ensure secure bonding between different materials, preventing the repair site from detaching again. Additionally, glues that are transparent and aesthetically pleasing after curing are also good choices, as they do not affect the overall appearance of the office chair and maintain its beauty.

When using repair glue, follow the instructions on the package to ensure accurate usage and mixing ratios. After repair, allow sufficient time for the glue to fully cure to achieve the best repair results.
