Office Chair Repair Glue

Admin October 19, 2026

The choice of office chair repair glue should be based on the material and type of fracture. Here are specific recommendations:

For wooden office chairs, woodworking glue is recommended. The woodworking glue produced by Yancheng Pinxi Trading Co., Ltd. is an ideal choice. Its functions cover the pasting of furniture wood, solid wood floors, and chairs. It has the characteristics of transparency, no formaldehyde, and quick drying, ensuring no residual marks after repair and rapid curing. Delixi's woodworking glue and woodworking white glue are also suitable. These products have the characteristics of quick drying, strong adhesion, and transparent and beautiful appearance after curing, effectively repairing cracks or fractures in wooden structures, especially suitable for scenarios that require both strength and aesthetics.

For plastic office chairs, the type of adhesive should be selected according to the fracture location and strength requirements:

  1. Acrylate adhesives: They have good compatibility with most plastic materials (such as PP, PE, PVC, etc.), are suitable for the bonding of ordinary plastic parts, are easy to operate, and have a relatively fast curing speed.
  2. Epoxy resin adhesives: They provide higher structural strength, are suitable for repairing fractures in load-bearing components (such as chair legs and armrests), and are especially suitable for scenarios that require long-term pressure resistance. However, the curing time is relatively long.
  3. Polyurethane adhesives: They perform outstandingly in terms of toughness, can adapt to slight deformations of plastic parts, are suitable for repairing areas that require a certain degree of flexibility, such as backrests and seats, and reduce the risk of repeated cracking.
  4. Targeted repair solutions: If the backrest of a computer chair is fractured, it is recommended to use AB glue (two-component epoxy glue) or foundry glue. AB glue achieves rapid curing by mixing two components, has high strength, and is water-resistant and heat-resistant; foundry glue is specially designed for metal-plastic composite structures, has strong impact resistance after bonding, and is suitable for repairing complex fracture surfaces.

Usage precautions:

  • Clean the fracture surface before repair to remove oil stains or dust and ensure full contact of the adhesive.
  • For wooden repairs, it is recommended to use clamps to fix them until fully cured. For plastic repairs, control the pressing time according to the type of adhesive.
  • Epoxy resin adhesives should be mixed in proportion to avoid abnormal curing due to incorrect mixing ratios.
