Office Chair Racing Rules
The rules for office chair racing vary depending on the type of event, with common rules as follows:

Some event rules are relatively basic. Participants are required to sit on office chairs and race by sliding. There is no unified standard for the length of the track, ranging from 30 meters to 200 meters, mainly depending on the size of the event venue and specific arrangements. The competition formats are diverse, including individual races that allow participants to showcase their sliding skills and speed alone on the track, as well as relay races that test the coordination and handover efficiency among team members.
The rules for the Shanghai Putuo Business District event are unique. In the first round, the 'Speed Hair-Pulling' segment, participants sit on office chairs and sprint from the starting point to the finish line. After reaching the finish line, participants must complete designated actions and then return to the starting point. After each round of the competition, the last-place finishers are eliminated based on their performance, gradually filtering out the stronger competitors.
The rules for the Foshan Industrial Park event are more detailed, divided into three formats: individual races, relay races, and team cooperation races. In the individual races, each company must send one representative to participate, with the person who takes the shortest time to reach the finish line being the winner and advancing to the finals. The relay races require each company to send four representatives, with each person positioned at a different starting point. After the race starts, the first person passes the baton to the next person, and so on, until the last person rushes to the finish line in the shortest time, allowing the team to advance to the finals. In the team cooperation races, each company sends two representatives, with one representative blindfolded and pushing the other person sitting on the chair. The person sitting on the chair is responsible for directing the blindfolded colleague's direction and controlling the chair's speed, with the team that reaches the finish line in the shortest time advancing to the finals. Additionally, there are general rules for the Foshan Industrial Park event, where the on-field host gives the signal to start the competition, and off-field staff are responsible for timing, with the shortest time advancing to the finals.
