Office Chair Quality Inspection
Office chair quality inspection involves multiple aspects such as inspection methods, relevant standards, and quality supervision and random checks.

Inspection Methods: Office chair inspection needs to comprehensively cover material, physical performance, and structural safety. In material inspection, sensory identification methods are crucial. For example, by observing leather textures, touching the feel of genuine leather, and sensing breathability, the quality of materials can be judged. Physical performance inspection includes evaluating the chair's load-bearing capacity, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance to ensure the chair is not easily damaged during use. Structural safety inspection focuses on the chair's stability and the firmness of connection parts to prevent usage risks caused by structural issues.
Relevant Standards: QB/T 2280 - 2016 is the core standard for office chair quality inspection, with the full name of 'Office Furniture - Office Chairs'. This standard details the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of office chairs. It is applicable to indoor work chairs, and chairs for similar purposes in other settings can also refer to it. This standard not only serves as the inspection basis for product quality supervision and random checks but is also widely used by enterprises to self-declare that their products meet technical requirements, ensuring the uniformity and standardization of product quality.
Quality Supervision and Random Checks: Taking the implementation rules for the 2026 quality supervision and random checks of 12 types of products, including office chairs and children's furniture, in Anji County as an example, the inspection procedures strictly follow laws and regulations such as the 'Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China' and local regulations. Sampling work is carried out by at least two sampling personnel who present relevant certificates to the inspected enterprises to ensure the legality and validity of the sampling. The batches for inspection must be strictly carried out according to the plan. If sampling has already been done, it should be terminated. If samples from enterprises within the plan cannot be obtained, the reasons must be explained. Under specific conditions, products from enterprises outside the plan are allowed to be inspected, but non-compliance with requirements will result in non-payment of inspection fees and public criticism to ensure the fairness and seriousness of the inspections.
