Office Chair Puncture

Office chair puncture may be related to swivel chair explosions, and different treatment measures should be taken according to the wound condition, while daily precautions should be taken.

Office chair punctures are often related to swivel chair explosions. A swivel chair explosion refers to a sudden explosion phenomenon caused by defective components in pneumatic lift-type swivel chairs, mostly occurring in low-quality pneumatic rod products. The main causes are as follows: First, the tube wall of the pneumatic rod is too thin and is prone to rupture under pressure; second, the purity of the inert gas is insufficient or it is replaced by compressed air, leading to unstable air pressure; third, frequent lifting and lowering cause a sudden increase in temperature, which may then cause components such as the top rod to protrude, posing a puncture risk.

To prevent such risks, the following measures can be taken: When purchasing an office chair, choose products from regular manufacturers, and it is recommended to choose products priced above 200 yuan, as these products generally offer better quality and safety guarantees; check the smoothness of the pneumatic rod's lifting and lowering during purchase, as uneven lifting and lowering may indicate component problems; ensure that a burst-resistant steel plate with a thickness of โ‰ฅ2 millimeters is installed between the seat cushion and the pneumatic rod, which can to some extent block protruding components and reduce the puncture risk.

If you are unfortunately punctured while using an office chair, first stay calm and check the wound condition. If the wound is shallow, you can perform simple self-treatment: gently squeeze out any foreign matter that may remain in the wound to prevent infection caused by the foreign matter inside the wound; rinse the wound with clean water or physiological saline for cleaning purposes; disinfect the wound with disinfectants such as iodophor to prevent bacterial growth; then apply a band-aid or similar for simple bandaging. If the wound is deep or there is a lot of bleeding, seek medical attention as soon as possible. Before going to the hospital, immediately press the wound with a clean gauze or towel to stop the bleeding, prevent excessive blood loss from affecting your health, and then go to the emergency department of a nearby hospital as soon as possible for treatment by a professional doctor.
