Office Chairs Prone to Falling Off
The tendency of office chairs to fall off is primarily related to the installation of backrest fasteners, the condition of the gas lift, and the material of the chair.

Firstly, issues with the installation of backrest fasteners are a direct cause of the backrest of an office chair falling off. During the production of some ergonomic chairs, if the backrest fasteners are not installed correctly, such as screws not being tightened or the position of the fasteners being off, it can result in an insecure connection between the backrest and the chair body. During use, as the user frequently leans back and adjusts their sitting position, the backrest is subjected to forces in different directions. If there are defects in the installation of the fasteners, these forces may gradually loosen the backrest, eventually causing it to fall off during use and resulting in the user falling and getting injured.
Secondly, although abnormal conditions of the gas lift do not directly manifest as falling off, they can seriously affect usage safety and even indirectly lead to the risk of falling off. The gas lift is the core component of an office chair's height-adjustment system. If it ages or has poor sealing, under the continuous pressure of the user's weight, phenomena such as "slow sinking" may occur. This not only affects the user's need to adjust the chair's height but may also cause the chair to suddenly sink or wobble during use due to unstable internal pressure in the gas lift, increasing the risk of the user losing balance and falling. Moreover, when the gas lift fails, it is strictly prohibited to attempt to disassemble, drill holes in, or repair it on your own, as it is under high pressure internally, and improper operation carries the risk of explosion.
Finally, chairs made of inferior materials have a higher risk of malfunction. Some office chairs use inferior materials such as thin sheet metal and recycled plastic to make the chair frames. These materials have insufficient load-bearing capacity and are prone to deformation and breakage under long-term use due to the inability to withstand the user's weight. When the frame breaks, the chair components lose support, leading to falling off. Therefore, when purchasing an office chair, it is advisable to choose products with reliable quality and good materials to reduce the risk of falling off.
