Office Chair Production Locations

Admin October 19, 2026

Office chairs are produced in a wide range of locations worldwide, with major production hubs including China, Europe, the United States, and other regions.

China is one of the world's largest producers of office chairs. With abundant raw material resources, a well-developed industrial chain, and a labor force advantage, the office chair manufacturing industry has grown rapidly. There is a wide variety of office chairs available, ranging from budget-friendly to high-end luxury models, all at relatively affordable prices. The industry also emphasizes technological innovation and quality improvement. Key industrial clusters are located in Longjiang Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province; Anji County, Zhejiang Province; and Bazhou City, Hebei Province. Among them, Anji County in Zhejiang is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Chairs" and is the only place in the country to receive this title. It accounts for one-third of the national chair production and half of the national exports. Well-known manufacturers include Guangdong Jingyi Furniture, Sihoo, Yongyi, Henglin Chair Industry, and AURORA.

Europe is the birthplace of office chair design and is home to numerous well-known office furniture brands. European-made office chairs are renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship, unique designs, and exceptional quality. Manufacturers prioritize the application of ergonomic principles to ensure that office chairs provide a comfortable sitting experience. Additionally, they excel in environmental protection, often using recyclable materials and eco-friendly coatings to meet modern consumers' demands for sustainable products.

The U.S. office chair market is characterized by innovation and personalization. Manufacturers are adept at using high-tech materials such as memory foam and mesh to enhance the comfort and functionality of office chairs. They also focus on functional expansion, incorporating technologies like electric adjustment and smart sensors to meet consumers' demands for intelligent office furniture.

Many other regions are also actively developing their office chair manufacturing industries. By leveraging local resources and market demands, they produce products with regional characteristics. For example, some Southeast Asian countries take advantage of cost advantages to produce affordable office chairs that cater to the mid-to-low-end market. Some Nordic countries emphasize design aesthetics and environmental performance, producing office chairs that are both stylish and eco-friendly.
