Office Chair Production and Assembly
The production and assembly of office chairs is a systematic process that encompasses component manufacturing, assembly and debugging, and quality inspection. The core steps and key details are as follows:

I. Component Preparation and Basic Assembly
Installation of Chair Legs and Gas Cylinders
Insert each chair wheel into the mounting holes of the five-star chair legs, ensuring the wheels are secure and free from looseness. After flipping the five-star base, align the thicker end of the gas cylinder with the center hole of the base and insert it vertically. This step requires controlling the perpendicularity between the gas cylinder and the chair legs to prevent misalignment during subsequent use.Connection of the Seat Base and Cushion
Place the seat base on the bottom of the cushion, align the screw holes, and use an electric screwdriver to tighten the fixing screws. This step requires strict control of the screw torque (usually 5-8 Nยทm) to prevent cushion cracking due to excessive torque or looseness due to insufficient torque.Docking of the Cushion and Gas Cylinder
Align the mounting hole at the bottom of the cushion with the top of the gas cylinder and press down vertically until fully inserted into the hole in the seat base. Check whether the gap between the gas cylinder and the cushion is uniform to ensure smooth lifting and lowering functionality.
II. Integration and Fixation of Core Components
Backrest Installation
Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the cushion, insert vertically, and secure with screws. This step requires attention to the angle between the backrest and the cushion (usually 95ยฐ-105ยฐ) and adjusting the backrest tilt tension through ergonomic testing to accommodate the sitting pressure distribution of people of different weights.Fixation of Armrests and Headrests
Insert the armrests into the reserved holes in the armrest brackets, tighten with screws, and check the levelness of the armrests. The headrest should be aligned with the mounting slot at the top of the backrest and fixed with buckles or screws to ensure the headrest height is adjustable and free from wobbling.
III. Quality Inspection and Detail Optimization
Stability Testing
Conduct simulated load testing (e.g., applying 100 kg of pressure) to check for looseness at the connection points of various components, focusing on the lifting and lowering functionality of the gas cylinder, the backrest tilt, and the rolling functionality of the wheels.Appearance and Comfort Adjustment
Check the flatness of the fabric to ensure there are no wrinkles or blisters; adjust the buckle connection accuracy to prevent abnormal noises between components; conduct smoothness testing on adjustable components such as armrests and headrests to optimize the user experience.
Some factories also introduce automated equipment (such as robotic arms for screwing and laser positioning for buckles) during the assembly stage, combined with manual sampling inspection to ensure product pass rates. The final product must pass durability testing (such as 100,000 consecutive lifts and drops and 50,000 backrest tilts) before leaving the factory.
