Office Chair Primer Spraying
The process of spraying primer on office chairs mainly includes preliminary preparation, primer application, putty scraping and sanding, reapplication of primer, edge and corner treatment, application of thin oil, and final sanding.

Firstly, before primer treatment, it is essential to ensure that the work area is clean and well-ventilated. This is a crucial preliminary preparation step. A clean work area can prevent dust and other impurities from mixing into the primer, affecting the spraying effect. Good ventilation safeguards the health of construction personnel and aids in the drying of the primer. When sanding, wear a dust mask and use medium-grit sandpaper. After sanding, thoroughly clean the surface and ensure it is dry before applying the primer. Moreover, applying multiple thin layers is more effective than applying a single thick layer. Thin-layer application allows the primer to adhere more uniformly to the surface of the office chair, improving adhesion.
To begin the process, apply a coat of primer and let it dry. This is the initial step in primer application, laying the foundation for subsequent treatments. Next, perform putty scraping to fill in any unevenness on the surface of the office chair, making it smoother. Then, sand the putty and blow away the dust. This step further treats the surface after putty scraping, removing excess putty and ensuring a smooth surface.
When reapplying the primer, apply two consecutive coats of thicker primer to enhance its coverage and protective properties. After the first coat of primer has dried for at least four to five hours, manually sand the edges and corners. Since these areas may not be evenly coated with primer, manual sanding can make them smoother and more uniform.
Then, apply thin oil, which is a thinner primer. Thin oil can further fill in tiny pores on the surface, improving the density of the primer. Finally, sand with fine sandpaper. After this step, the surface of the office chair will be finer, providing a good foundation for subsequent topcoat spraying and resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing and durable final spraying effect.
