Office Chair Pressure Adjustment

Admin October 12, 2026

The common adjustment method for office chairs is height adjustment, mainly including pneumatic rod adjustment and screw adjustment, but there is no mention of 'pressure adjustment'. Here is a detailed introduction to height adjustment:

Pneumatic Rod Adjustment

Pneumatic rod adjustment is a relatively common way to adjust the height of office chairs. Usually, there is a control lever located beneath the office chair. When a person is sitting on the chair, if they want to raise the chair, they simply need to pull up this control lever, and the chair will rise accordingly; if they want to lower the chair, they press down on the control lever, and the chair will descend.

Some pneumatic height-adjustable chairs are also equipped with large knobs at the bottom, which can also be used to control the height adjustment of the seat. For pneumatic rod-type adjustments, the general operation logic is to lift the adjustment lever upwards and use the body's weight to lower the seat; for knob-type adjustments, in most cases, turning the knob clockwise lowers the seat height, while turning it counterclockwise raises the seat height. This adjustment method is simple and convenient, allowing for quick satisfaction of the height requirements of users of different heights, enabling users to maintain a comfortable sitting posture while using the office chair and reducing physical fatigue.

Screw Adjustment

Screw adjustment involves setting a screw-like device at the bottom of the chair to achieve height adjustment of the seat. Typically, turning this device counterclockwise will gradually raise the chair; turning it clockwise will lower the chair. The advantage of screw adjustment lies in its relatively simple structure, lower cost, and a relatively stable adjustment process without sudden height changes. However, the speed of screw adjustment is relatively slow, requiring users to spend a certain amount of time and effort rotating the device to reach the desired height.

Currently, among the common adjustment functions of office chairs, there is no specific description of 'pressure adjustment'. Pressure adjustment may involve adjusting the softness or hardness of the seat cushion, backrest, and other parts of the office chair, or adjusting the internal pressure of the pneumatic rod, but these aspects are not explicitly mentioned in the existing materials.
