Office Chair Power Bank

Admin October 11, 2026

The power supply options for office chairs vary by type, primarily including direct plug-in, lithium battery power, and USB power modes.

Most electric executive chairs adopt a direct plug-in design, connecting to a 220V household socket via a power adapter to function. These chairs are typically equipped with built-in motors for driving adjustments such as lifting and reclining. The power adapter converts household alternating current into the direct current required by the device, ensuring stable power supply. Due to the relatively high power of the motors, direct plug-in power avoids the limitations of battery capacity and meets the needs of long-term continuous use, commonly found in fixed workstations in office settings.

Some high-end models use lithium battery power solutions, commonly found in products priced at ten thousand yuan or more. These executive chairs integrate removable rechargeable batteries within the chair body, supporting 8 to 12 hours of mobile office work when fully charged. Lithium batteries have a high energy density, providing continuous power to the motors, while the removable design facilitates separate charging or battery replacement, suitable for scenarios requiring frequent mobile office work. However, lithium batteries are costly, and their capacity gradually decreases over long-term use, requiring regular maintenance or replacement.

Another special type is the USB-powered folding chair, often seen in gaming chairs or portable seats. These chairs drive basic adjustment functions, such as slight seat height adjustments or backrest angle changes, through a 5V power bank. Due to the limited output power of USB interfaces, they typically only support low-power motors or manual-assisted adjustments, with battery life depending on the power bank's capacity. Their advantage lies in portability, as users can carry a power bank to supply power to the chair, suitable for outdoor activities or temporary office scenarios.

When choosing an office chair, it is essential to weigh the power supply method based on the usage scenario. For fixed workstations, direct plug-in models are recommended for their optimal stability; for mobile office needs with sufficient budget, lithium battery models can be considered; if ultimate portability is pursued, USB-powered folding chairs offer a more flexible choice.
