Office Chair Plastic Chair Assembly
The assembly of office chairs and plastic chairs should follow a 'bottom-up' logic, with specific steps as follows:

1. Install the Base and Casters
If the chair is equipped with a five-star base and casters, align the casters (universal wheels) with the sockets at the bottom of the five-star base and press vertically until a 'click' sound confirms they are securely inserted. For threaded casters, rotate them into the holes. Ensure all wheels are firmly installed to prevent loosening and detachment. According to the Luban Home steps, insert each caster into the five-claw assembly holes one by one, and then flip the five-claw base for subsequent operations.
2. Install the Lifting Gas Cylinder
For adjustable-height swivel chairs, first remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the gas cylinder. Place the thinner end of the cylinder (with the button) facing upwards and insert it vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, pressing lightly until it reaches the bottom. Note that the thicker end of the gas cylinder needs to be connected to the base later. Luban Home adds that the thick end of the gas cylinder should be aligned with the center hole of the five-claw base.
3. Install the Seat Cushion and Base
Place the seat cushion face down on a soft surface (such as a carpet) to avoid scratches. Locate the metal or plastic base at the bottom of the seat, align it with the front direction as indicated by the arrows in the instructions, and secure it temporarily with the provided screws (do not fully tighten them yet for easy adjustment later). Luban Home emphasizes that the base should be aligned with the four screw holes, first tighten the B screws 3-4 turns, and then tighten them one by one.
4. Assemble the Backrest and Armrests
- Armrest Installation: Align the armrests with the reserved holes on the sides of the seat cushion according to the left and right markings, and insert or temporarily connect them with screws.
- Backrest Installation: Align the backrest with the connection points on the armrests and the rear part of the seat cushion. After aligning all the holes, insert the connecting screws one by one and tighten them temporarily with tools (such as an Allen wrench). Finally, tighten all the screws gradually in a diagonal sequence to ensure even force distribution. Luban Home adds that the C screws should be used to secure the bottom of the backrest, and then the D screws should be used to lock the backrest and the seat cushion bracket.
5. Overall Assembly and Final Fixation
Lift the seat cushion (including the backrest and armrests) and align it with the installed base. For chairs with a gas cylinder, insert the hole at the bottom of the seat cushion over the gas cylinder; according to Luban Home steps, align the seat cushion with the gas cylinder and insert it into the base hole. Armrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the bracket holes. Headrest Installation (if applicable): Place the headrest in the middle at the top of the backrest, press it to fit, and tighten it with an E screw through the fixing clip.
Preparation Before Assembly: Count the accessories (five-star base, casters, gas cylinder, base, seat cushion, backrest, armrests, screw pack) and prepare the tools (Allen wrench, screwdriver, rubber mallet, tape measure). It is recommended to set self-provided tools to a low torque setting to avoid damaging plastic parts.
