Office Chair Placement

Admin October 09, 2026

Office chair placement requires comprehensive consideration of factors such as height, angle, position selection, and daily maintenance to ensure comfort and practicality in use.

Height and Angle

The desk height should be controlled between 72 and 76 centimeters, and the chair angle adjusted to between 110 and 135 degrees. This combination can effectively reduce lumbar pressure, alleviate fatigue caused by prolonged sitting, and enhance work efficiency and comfort.

Position Selection

  • Avoid Distractions: Office chairs should not face directly towards doors or windows to minimize external distractions; sufficient space should be reserved in front of the seat to avoid a cramped feeling.
  • Reduce Visual Conflicts: Avoid having two people sitting directly opposite each other in front of the seat to prevent visual conflicts and distractions. If unavoidable, place potted plants or files in between as dividers.
  • Avoid Traffic Interference: There should be no frequent pedestrian traffic directly in front of the seat to prevent interference from moving energy fields with magnetic fields.
  • Avoid Asymmetrical Division: The seat should not be divided by asymmetrical aisles or seats to avoid affecting personal smoothness and harmony among colleagues.
  • Position and Distance Relationship: Placing the seat near the door can affect work efficiency. The higher the position, the farther the seat should be from the door. Ordinary employees should also adjust their seats accordingly based on their position levels, striving to place seats at the back.
  • Support Behind: Having a solid support (such as a wall or high-backed chair) behind the seat is the best choice, symbolizing assistance from influential people and enhancing promotion opportunities. If the back is a window, there is a lack of support, which may lead to inefficient efforts. The distance between the seat and the wall should be moderate; being too far can cause scattered energy fields.

Daily Maintenance

  • Leather Office Chairs: Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight to avoid exposure. Clean with an appropriate concentration of soapy water (40% - 50% water content), then wipe with clean water and dry. Strong detergents are strictly prohibited.
  • Usage Guidelines: Keep the center of gravity in the middle of the pneumatic rod to ensure smooth lifting and rotation. Regularly check for loose screws, springs, and knobs, and adjust the spring tension according to body weight to ensure the chair back returns smoothly.
  • Prohibited Actions: Do not sit on the armrests or place heavy objects on them to avoid plastic aging or hydrogen embrittlement. Regular maintenance should be carried out strictly according to the instructions to extend the service life.
