Admin October 10, 2026
For worn-out office chairs, self-adhesive leather repair patches can be used for mending. Here are the available product options and operating methods:

I. Recommended Repair Materials
Self-Adhesive Leather Repair Patch
- Universal self-adhesive leather patches can be directly cut into the desired shape to cover the damaged area. Their material is usually imitation leather or PVC, with a smooth surface that can restore the integrity of the chair's appearance after application.
- Suitable for small-area wear (such as edge or local peeling), easy to operate, and no professional tools are required.
Tech Fabric Litchi Pattern Repair Patch (Self-Adhesive Type)
- Priced at approximately 3.8 yuan, its surface is made of litchi-patterned tech fabric, which is highly wear-resistant and has a touch close to that of the original chair fabric after application.
- Suitable for users who pursue texture consistency, especially for repairing office chairs made of tech fabric or imitation leather.
Litchi Pattern PVC Leather Self-Adhesive Sofa Repair Patch
- Priced at approximately 10.5 yuan, it is made of PVC material, with relatively high thickness and hardness, and stronger durability.
- Suitable for large-area damage or scenarios requiring long-term use, but attention should be paid to cutting accuracy to avoid edge curling.
Cross-border Self-Adhesive Leather Patch
- Priced as low as 0.56 yuan, its material is mostly thin PVC or PU, offering high cost-effectiveness.
- Suitable for temporary repairs or situations with a limited budget, but there may be insufficient wear resistance, requiring regular replacement.
II. Operating Steps
- Clean the Damaged Area
- Wipe the damaged area with a damp cloth to remove dust and oil stains, ensuring the surface is dry and free of impurities.
- Cut the Patch
- According to the shape and size of the damage, cut the repair patch into a size slightly larger than the damaged area (leave an extra 1-2mm at the edges for adjustment).
- Stick and Fix
- Peel off the protective film on the back of the patch, slowly apply it from the center of the damage outward, and at the same time, use a scraper or card to press the edges firmly to expel air and avoid bulging.
- Trim the Edges
- Use scissors to trim the excess parts to make the patch smoothly transition with the original chair surface.
III. Precautions
- If there are cracks or depressions in the damaged area, you can first fill it with non-woven fabric or sponge as a base, and then stick the repair patch to enhance flatness.
- Avoid heavy pressure or friction within 24 hours after repair to ensure the adhesive fully cures.
- After long-term use, if the edges of the patch curl up, you can use a small amount of hot-melt adhesive or special leather glue for reinforcement.
