Office Chair Packaging Film

Admin October 09, 2026

There are mainly two types of office chair packaging films: stretch wrap and bubble wrap. When using them, attention should be paid to the wrapping method and specification selection.

Use of Stretch Wrap

Stretch wrap is one of the commonly used materials for office chair packaging, typically applied in a spiral upward wrapping manner. During the specific operation, start from the bottom of the chair legs and gradually wrap upwards along the structure of the office chair. This wrapping method ensures that the packaging film tightly adheres to all parts of the office chair, providing a stable wrapping effect. During the wrapping process, special attention should be paid to wrapping the gas spring part. The gas spring is a key component of the office chair and is also prone to damage during logistics transportation. Therefore, when wrapping, it is necessary to increase the number of wraps and the force applied to ensure that the gas spring is fully protected. Common stretch wraps on the market include PE stretch wrap, which has good stretchability and self-adhesiveness, enabling it to tightly wrap the office chair and prevent loosening or displacement during transportation.

Use of Bubble Wrap

Bubble wrap is also a commonly used protective material for office chair packaging. Its unique bubble structure can effectively cushion collisions and vibrations. It is recommended to use bubble wrap with a width of 5cm and wrap it more than 5 layers. Such specifications and number of wraps can provide sufficient protective effect to prevent the office chair from being damaged due to collisions during logistics transportation. Bubble wrap can be used alone or in combination with stretch wrap. For example, you can first use stretch wrap to initially wrap the office chair and then use bubble wrap to protect key parts, such as the backrest and armrests, which are prone to collisions. There is also thickened bubble wrap available on the market, which has larger and thicker bubbles, providing better protective effect.

Other Packaging Film Options

In addition to stretch wrap and bubble wrap, there are various other types of packaging films available on the market. These packaging films have different characteristics in terms of material, thickness, transparency, etc., and can be selected according to the specific situation and packaging needs of the office chair. For example, for some high-end office chairs, you can choose packaging films with high transparency and good texture to enhance the overall image of the product.
