Operation of Office Chairs

Admin October 13, 2026

The operation of office chairs varies depending on the model and type, but generally includes initial setup, basic adjustments, recline function adjustments, and other functional adjustments. Specific operations should be carried out in accordance with the product manual.

I. Initial Setup and Basic Adjustments

  1. Sihoo H300: Insert the headrest into the support rod, press and hold the switch to open the battery compartment, and press above the compartment door to insert the battery. When adjusting the seat height, ensure that both feet are flat on the ground, with the angle between the thighs and calves maintained between 95 and 100 degrees. Adjustments are made using the gas lift or knob beneath the seat.
  2. Basic Office Chairs: These typically only support seat height adjustment, which can be done directly using the gas lift or knob beneath the seat.

II. Recline Function Adjustments

  1. Lever Adjustment System: Locate the adjustment lever beneath the seat, near the right or left side. Release the recline lock (if present), and gently pull up or push down on the lever to unlock it. Adjust your body weight to lean backward while adjusting the lever to achieve a comfortable backrest angle. To lock the angle, pull up or push down on the lever again to secure the position.
  2. Knob Adjustment System: Locate the knob near the center of the seat's underside, close to theๆ”ฏๆŸฑ (support column). Turn it clockwise to increase the backrest's recline resistance, and counterclockwise to decrease it. If the product has a separate knob for adjusting the recline angle, follow the instructions in the manual.
  3. Pneumatic Adjustment System: Use the pneumatic lever located alongside the height adjustment lever. Push it in different directions to achieve smooth recline adjustments.

III. Other Adjustment Functions

  1. Lumbar Support Adjustment: Adjust the lumbar support to the point that naturally supports the curvature of your lumbar spine, ensuring it is firmly supported. For example, the Sihoo H300 allows for front-to-back position adjustments of the lumbar support by sliding it.
  2. Armrest Adjustment: Adjust the height of the armrests so that when your elbows are naturally hanging down, your forearms can rest comfortably on the armrests or desktop, with the angle between your upper and lower arms close to 100 degrees.
  3. Headrest Adjustment: For example, the headrest of the Sihoo S300 is integrated with the backrest and can be adjusted forward or backward to accommodate people of different heights.

IV. Usage Precautions

  1. Balance and Stability: When adjusting the recline angle, avoid placing the chair's center of gravity too far back to prevent tipping over.
  2. Healthy Angle: An improper recline angle may affect your health. It is recommended to choose an appropriate angle based on the nature of your work and personal needs.
  3. Regular Movement: Even if the chair is adjusted to be comfortable, engage in activities such as hip joint stretches and lower back relaxation every 30 minutes to relieve fatigue from prolonged sitting.
