Office Chair Operation Adjustment
The operation adjustments of an office chair mainly include height, headrest, armrest, backrest, seat depth, footrest, and glide function adjustments, as detailed below:

Height Adjustment: Locate the control device on the arm of the office chair, typically a lever or knob. For pneumatic height-adjustable models, raise the lever or turn the knob, then pump the lever (push up and down repeatedly) to adjust the seat height. When adjusting, ensure your feet are flat on the ground, with the angle between your thighs and calves maintained between 95 and 100 degrees. This sitting posture helps reduce leg pressure and maintain body balance.
Headrest Adjustment: Taking the Qingxian Dynamic Ergonomic Chair as an example, height adjustment of the headrest is usually accomplished by pulling it up or down. Some models also support forward and backward adjustments. Users can flexibly adjust the height and front-back position of the headrest according to their head position and neck comfort, providing good support for the head and neck and relieving fatigue caused by prolonged sitting.
Armrest Adjustment: If the office chair is equipped with armrests, their height can be adjusted. When arm support is not needed, the armrests can be removed or lowered to prevent them from obstructing the knees from sliding under the desk, affecting sitting comfort and normal movement.
Backrest Adjustment: The backrest can generally be reclined. A slight recline of about 100 to 110 degrees can effectively reduce pressure on the lumbar spine and allow the body to relax. Some chairs are also equipped with lumbar supports, which users can adjust to the point that precisely supports the natural curve of the lumbar spine, further enhancing support for the lower back and preventing lumbar diseases.
Seat Depth Adjustment: Some office chairs support seat depth adjustment to meet the needs of users with different body types. Users can adjust the depth of the seat according to the length of their thighs, ensuring that the thighs can be fully placed on the seat and avoiding discomfort caused by leg suspension or an overly deep seat.
Footrest Adjustment: If the chair is too high, causing the feet to hang in the air, the footrest adjustment function can be used, or a footstool can be prepared. The footrest or footstool provides support for the feet, maintaining body balance and stability and reducing leg fatigue.
Glide Function: Some office chairs are equipped with a glide function. Through the casters at the bottom of the chair, users can easily move around the office area, increasing usage flexibility.
