Oil Stain Removal from Office Chairs
When oil stains appear on office chairs, targeted cleaning methods can be used based on different materials, as follows:

There are three main cleaning methods for office chairs made of ordinary materials. Warm Water Cleaning Method: First, remove any debris from the chair. Use a soft cloth dipped in warm water to wipe the surface. If the oil stain is severe, add a small amount of neutral detergent to the warm water to enhance its stain-removing ability. Finally, use a clean cloth to dry the surface water marks to prevent moisture retention, which could lead to mold or damage to the material. Vinegar Cleaning Method: Pour an appropriate amount of vinegar into a spray bottle and spray it evenly on the chair surface. The vinegar solution can adsorb oil stains. After a period of time, wipe the surface with a damp cloth until the oil stains are removed. Then, wipe the surface with clean water to remove the vinegar smell and avoid any residual vinegar smell affecting the user experience. Paper Towel Oil Absorption Method: Similarly, first remove any debris. Use paper towels to absorb the oil. If the oil stain is thick, increase the thickness of the paper towels to enhance the oil absorption effect. For areas with severe oil stains, first wipe with a damp paper towel and then use a dry paper towel to absorb the residual oil stains.
When cleaning mesh office chairs, first use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust to prevent it from spreading or clogging the mesh during the cleaning process. Dilute the cleaning agent and spray it on the chair. Let the cleaning agent stay for a while to fully dissolve the oil stains. Then, use a steam cleaner and a high-temperature washing machine alternately to suction wash at least twice to ensure that the oil stains are completely removed. During the cleaning process, use a water absorber to dry the water, speed up the drying process, and prevent the mesh from deforming or getting moldy due to prolonged moisture.
There are two ways to clean leather office chairs. Salt + Salad Oil Combination: Sprinkle a small pinch of salt on the oil stain and drop two drops of salad oil. Use a soft cloth to wipe in a circular motion. The granular feel of the salt can enhance friction, and the salad oil can dissolve the oil stains. Finally, use a dry towel to wipe off the residual oil. Professional Cleaning Process: First, lightly moisten the chair surface with a slightly damp cloth to make it evenly wet. Spray a neutral leather cleaner or a special office furniture cleaner. Wipe from top to bottom, focusing on cleaning the bottom gaps and edges. If necessary, use a soft-bristled brush to assist to ensure a thorough cleaning without dead spots. Use a cloth soaked in clean water and wrung out to remove the cleaner residue. Immediately use a dry towel to absorb the water and place it in a cool, ventilated place to dry, avoiding direct sunlight, which could cause the leather to age.
When cleaning fabric office chairs, you can put discarded cotton socks on your hands, dip them in a small amount of neutral cleaner, and reach into the gaps to remove dust. For stubborn stains, use a toothbrush dipped in foam cleaner for local treatment, but brush in the direction of the texture to prevent damage to the fabric surface.
