Office Chair Nuts
There are various types of office chair nuts, commonly including four-claw nuts, internal and external threaded nuts, T-shaped embedded nuts, plum-blossom spring-clip nuts, knurled round nuts, hexagonal inner-hole nuts, and inner-hexagonal embedded nuts, etc. Different types are suitable for different structures and installation requirements.

Four-claw nuts are commonly used accessories in the furniture field. They are fixed by embedding their four claws into the wood. Common specifications include M4, M5, M6, M8, and M10, etc., and they are suitable for chair bases, sofas, and other scenarios. Their advantage lies in easy installation without the need for complex tools. They can be embedded into the wood by simply rotating. However, it is important to ensure that the wood material matches the nut specifications to avoid unstable fixation due to an oversized hole diameter.
Internal and external threaded nuts combine internal and external thread designs to connect different components simultaneously. They are commonly made of zinc alloy and are corrosion-resistant. For example, M6 and M8 specifications are often used for connecting chairs and table legs. They achieve stable assembly through the engagement of internal and external threads and are suitable for scenarios that require frequent disassembly, such as adjustable-height office chairs.
T-shaped embedded nuts are embedded into the wood through a pre-embedding method. They have a T-shaped surface structure and are commonly available in M3-M8 combination sets. They are suitable for scenarios that require hidden fixation, such as soft beds and chairs. Their characteristic is to enhance connection strength through pre-embedding, avoiding the unsightly appearance of exposed nuts. However, it is necessary to cut slots or drill holes in the wood in advance, which requires high installation accuracy.
Plum-blossom spring-clip nuts achieve rapid installation through a spring-clip structure. Common specifications are M6 and M8, with a length of approximately 18.2mm, and they are suitable for connecting tubular structures such as tables and chairs. Their advantage is that they do not require welding and are fixed by the friction between the spring clip and the tube wall. However, it is important to ensure that the tube diameter matches the nut size to avoid looseness due to excessive clearance.
Knurled round nuts, hexagonal inner-hole nuts, etc., enhance friction through surface textures or special structures and are suitable for scenarios that require anti-loosening, such as the connection between chair bases and gas rods. Inner-hexagonal embedded nuts achieve hidden installation through a countersunk design and are commonly found in maternal and child furniture. They require operation with an inner-hexagonal wrench to ensure a flat surface after installation.
