Office Chair - Non-Pneumatic
There are non-pneumatic types of office chairs, which mainly achieve height adjustment through mechanical or electric structures, offering advantages such as high safety and diverse functions.

The mechanical structures of non-pneumatic height-adjustable chairs typically employ components like coil springs, gear racks, or slide rails. Coil spring types achieve height adjustment by compressing and releasing the springs. Users can adjust the height using manual knobs or levers. For example, some traditional office chairs allow users to rotate a knob beneath the seat to compress or extend the springs, thereby changing the seat height. Gear rack types, on the other hand, utilize a motor to drive gear rotation, which in turn moves the rack up and down for electric height adjustment. This structure is commonly found in mid- to high-end electric office chairs. The motor converts rotational motion into linear motion through the meshing of gears and racks, enabling precise control of seat height.
Safety and stability are the core advantages of non-pneumatic height-adjustable chairs. Pneumatic rods carry a potential explosion risk due to the high-pressure gas inside, especially in low-quality products. In contrast, non-pneumatic height-adjustable chairs achieve height adjustment through physical structures, completely avoiding the safety hazards associated with pneumatic rods. Their mechanical or electric components undergo rigorous testing, resulting in higher structural stability and less likelihood of loosening or unusual noises during long-term use. Additionally, non-pneumatic designs often use thicker steel or high-strength plastics, further enhancing overall load-bearing capacity and durability. For example, some high-end models can support weights of over 150 kilograms, making them suitable for users of different body types.
Multi-functional adjustability and comfort are also important features of non-pneumatic height-adjustable chairs. These chairs not only support height adjustment but also often come with multi-dimensional adjustability functions such as tilt angle, armrest height, and seat cushion depth. For instance, the seat tilt angle can be fixed in multiple positions through mechanical locking or electric driving to accommodate different sitting postures. Armrest height can be adjusted synchronously with seat height to maintain natural arm support. Seat cushion depth adjustment can accommodate users with different leg lengths, preventing leg suspension or pressure. Some high-end models also feature memory functions, allowing users to preset multiple commonly used heights and quickly switch between them using buttons or remote controls, enhancing convenience of use.
