News related to office chairs covers various aspects such as quality and safety, brand honors, and product recalls.

I. Frequent Quality and Safety Issues
CCTV once exposed the explosion risk of unqualified office chairs. According to a spot check by the State Administration for Market Regulation, among 90 batches of products from 90 enterprises in 11 provinces and cities, the non-compliance rate reached 23.3%. Non-compliant items included flame retardancy, caster wear safety, formaldehyde emission, etc., with office swivel chairs being particularly problematic. As a key component of swivel chairs, if the gas spring is of poor quality, it may lead to an explosion, seriously threatening the safety of users. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation found 15 batches of non-compliant products in another spot check. Stability issues have become the main hidden danger, such as chairs being prone to tipping over or having loose structures. In addition, some consumers who purchased low-priced office chairs experienced physical discomfort. After disassembling the chairs, they found that the interior was filled with low-quality scrap materials that were prone to shedding, further exposing the problem of substandard materials used in some products.

II. Brand Honors and Technological Innovation
The Xia Cai Mu ergonomic office chair has performed outstandingly in the market. Its Fit2 model won the "Top 1 on the Office Seat Top Ten Brands List" and the "Top 1 on the Home Computer Chair Top Ten Brands List" for its waist-protecting effect. The ZeroG2.0 Dynamic Lumbar Support System equipped in this product intelligently adjusts the support force to protect spinal health around the clock, effectively dispersing lumbar pressure and reducing the risk of injuries caused by prolonged sitting. This innovative design represents a breakthrough in the functional optimization of ergonomic office chairs and sets a technological benchmark for the industry.

III. Warnings from International Recall Incidents
In recent years, multiple batches of office chairs made in China have been recalled in the United States and Canada due to safety hazards. On March 2, 2023, some products were recalled in both countries because the backrests might break, posing a risk of falls. Twelve reports had been received, with 10 people injured. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled the WorkPro Momentum office chair again because the bolts might fail, causing a risk of falls. Seven accidents had occurred, with two people suffering minor injuries. These incidents reflect the defects in the structural strength or component reliability of some exported products, which require the close attention of manufacturing enterprises.
