Office Chair Nap Tutorial
Depending on the different characteristics of office chairs, the following nap methods can be adopted:

If the office chair cannot adjust its angle, you can try the "double-chair stitching method" for workstation modification. First, place two office chairs side by side. Pull one of the chairs backward to the maximum distance so that the two chair backs form an angle of about 120ยฐ-130ยฐ, creating a semi-reclining space. At this point, you can sit sideways on the fixed chair, slowly lean your back back onto the stitched chair back, bend your legs naturally and place them on the ground, and cross your arms in front of your chest or lightly rest them on the armrests. This method expands the support surface through physical stitching, but it is important to note that the distance between the two chairs should not be too large to avoid shifting the center of gravity and causing slippage. It is also recommended to choose chairs with a seat width of โฅ40cm to ensure stability.
If the office chair has a large-angle reclining function (such as a 160ยฐ ultra-large recline with 5-level locking), you can make full use of the ergonomic design to achieve deep relaxation. First, adjust the chair back to the maximum recline angle, lock the gear, and then pull out the hidden leg rest so that the legs and torso are in a straight state of 170ยฐ-180ยฐ, reducing lumbar pressure. Then, adjust the rotatable armrests to be parallel to the chair back and place your forearms naturally on them to avoid shoulder suspension. At this point, your body's center of gravity should be evenly distributed at the connection between the chair seat and the backrest, combined with the stable support of a 4-level gas rod, to achieve a rest posture close to lying flat. It is important to check whether the lifting function of the gas rod is normal before use to avoid sudden sinking of the chair surface due to insufficient gas pressure.
Precautions: Regardless of the method used, it is necessary to ensure environmental safety. Before taking a nap, turn off the computer screen and put away sharp objects to avoid bumps. If the space is narrow, it is recommended to leave a buffer distance of 10-15cm between the chair back and the wall. For people with lumbar spine diseases, a lumbar support pillow should be placed at the waist to maintain the physiological curvature when in a semi-reclining position. Patients with high blood pressure should avoid having their heads in a too-low position to prevent cerebral congestion. It is recommended to control the nap time within 20-30 minutes to avoid muscle stiffness caused by maintaining the same posture for a long time.
