Office Chair Moving Guide

Admin October 09, 2026

When moving office chairs, choose the appropriate method based on the distance and chair type, and take protective measures.

Short-distance moving: It can be done directly without complex operations. However, be careful to avoid collisions, especially at the edges and vulnerable parts of the chair, to prevent scratches or damage.

Long-distance transportation: It is recommended to disassemble the wheels and armrests to reduce space occupation and lower transportation risks. For special chairs, such as those with glass or mirror decorations, first wrap the glass parts with bubble wrap and then secure them with tape to prevent the glass from breaking. For leather or fabric chairs, it is advisable to wrap the entire chair with a dust cover or an old bedsheet to avoid scratches or stains during transportation.

Long-haul transportation: The chair should be completely disassembled. Wrap the seat, backrest, legs, and other components separately with bubble wrap or soft cloth to ensure each component is fully protected. All screws and small parts should be placed in sealed bags and attached to the main body of the chair to prevent loss. Put the wrapped components into a suitably sized cardboard box and fill the gaps with foam blocks or packing paper to prevent damage caused by component movement during transportation. Mark the box with "Fragile" and "This Side Up" signs in a prominent place to remind movers to be careful.

Using professional tools: For moving a large number of office chairs frequently, tools such as hotel chair carts, banquet chair carts, and dining chair hand trucks can be used. These tools are well-designed and can firmly secure the chairs, reducing shaking and collisions during the moving process and improving moving efficiency and safety.

Precautions: During the moving process, handle the chairs gently to avoid severe vibrations or drops. For office chairs with electronic components or special functions, pay special attention to protecting these components to prevent damage or malfunction.
