Office Chair Mesh Parameters
Office chair mesh parameters mainly include three aspects: elastic recovery rate, durability and lifespan, and material and craftsmanship. There are differences in the parameters of mesh from different brands.

American MATREX Mesh: In terms of elastic recovery rate, the instantaneous rebound rate (20% strain) reaches 97%. After being pressed for 2 hours, the residual deformation is less than 4%. After 10,000 cycles, the recovery rate remains above 93%, and the hysteresis loss (energy loss) is 0.12, indicating extremely strong elastic recovery ability and low energy loss. Regarding durability and lifespan, it has undergone impact tests over 120,000 times, passed BIFMA certification, has a wear resistance exceeding 50,000 abrasion tests, meets the CA117-Section E standard for flame retardancy, has a lightfastness rating of 5 (over 40 hours of light exposure), a rubbing fastness of 4.5 in the wet state and 5 in the dry state, and has also passed the BS 5852: e4 โ 12.4 standard certification. All these indicators show its excellent durability and long lifespan. In terms of material and craftsmanship, it uses a patented polyester-based elastomer special material, is made through a jacquard weaving process, contains fluorescent anti-counterfeiting threads, is equipped with an exclusive laser tag, and uses an innovative T-shaped mesh structure with greater elastomer tension and denser weaving.
U-mesh Mesh: In terms of elastic recovery rate, the instantaneous rebound rate (20% strain) is about 90%. After being pressed for 2 hours, the residual deformation is about 8%. After 10,000 cycles, the recovery rate is about 85%, and the hysteresis loss (energy loss) is about 0.20, with slightly weaker elastic recovery ability compared to MATREX. Regarding durability and lifespan, the impact tests are about 80,000 - 100,000 times. It has good toughness, slow elastic decay, and outstanding cost-effectiveness, but lacks international certification endorsement. In terms of material and craftsmanship, it adopts a criss-cross weaving method, embeds TPE elastomers to form a four-way stretch structure, and its craftsmanship is close to that of MATREX's early products, achieving a balance between elasticity and a wrapped feel.
Domestic Dragon-patterned Special Mesh: In terms of elastic recovery rate, the instantaneous rebound rate (20% strain) is about 86%. After being pressed for 2 hours, the residual deformation is about 12%. After 10,000 cycles, the recovery rate is about 78%, and the hysteresis loss (energy loss) is 0.25, with relatively weak elastic recovery ability. Regarding durability and lifespan, the impact tests are about 60,000 - 80,000 times, and it is wear-resistant and tough. In terms of material and craftsmanship, it uses a nylon-thread high-density weaving process, has a double-layer structure with a dragon-patterned texture, has a mature craftsmanship and relatively low cost, does not add special elastomers, has material characteristics closer to those of traditional nylon mesh, and focuses on durability and hard support.
