Office Chair Material Images

The materials used in office chairs usually cannot be fully explained through images alone, but a general introduction can be made based on common materials.

Seat and Backrest Materials
- Leather Materials: These are divided into natural leather and synthetic leather. Natural leather, such as cowhide, offers good breathability, a soft texture, and strong durability, providing a comfortable sitting experience, but it is relatively expensive. Synthetic leather is made by coating a layer of plastic on the surface of fabric, resembling leather in appearance and more affordable, though it is slightly inferior in breathability and durability.
- Fabric Materials: Common types include velvet and linen. Velvet seats are soft and comfortable, with good warmth retention, but they tend to attract dust easily. Linen seats offer excellent breathability, a rustic texture, and certain wear resistance, making them suitable for long-term use.
- Mesh Materials: Made from high-strength fibers, mesh materials provide good breathability and elasticity. They allow air to circulate freely, reducing the feeling of stuffiness, making them especially suitable for summer or prolonged office use, while also providing some support.
Frame Materials
- Metal Materials: Such as steel and aluminum alloy. Steel frames are sturdy and durable, capable of bearing heavy weights, and are commonly used in high-end office chairs. Aluminum alloy frames are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, easy to move and transport, and have a stylish appearance.
- Plastic Materials: Generally, high-strength engineering plastics like polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC) are used. Plastic frames are cost-effective and come in a variety of shapes, but they are slightly weaker in strength and durability compared to metal frames.
Support Structure Materials
- Gas Lift Cylinders: These are key components for the height adjustment function of office chairs, usually made of metal and filled with high-pressure gas. High-quality gas lift cylinders should pass safety certifications to ensure safe use and prevent explosion hazards.
- Five-Star Bases: Common materials include metal and plastic. Metal five-star bases offer good stability and strong load-bearing capacity. Plastic five-star bases are less expensive, but it is important to choose reliable quality products to prevent breakage.
