Explanation of Office Chair Materials
Common materials for office chairs include leather fabrics, mesh fabrics, and materials for other structural components, each with its own characteristics.

Leather fabric is one of the common materials for office chairs, primarily made of PU leather or genuine leather. Many leather executive chairs commonly found in the market are made of such materials. For example, genuine leather high-back chairs may use top-grain leather. PU leather is relatively affordable, with good wear resistance and water resistance. It can also imitate the texture of genuine leather in appearance, meeting the needs of most office scenarios. Genuine leather, on the other hand, offers superior texture, better breathability, and comfort, but it is more expensive and requires regular maintenance to maintain its good condition and extend its service life.
Mesh fabric is also a commonly used material for office chairs, with a wide variety of types, including high-quality mesh, tech mesh (such as NanoFlex4.0 tech mesh), flocked mesh (such as Italian imported flocked mesh, dragon-pattern mesh), and DuPont Bounce tech mesh materials. The biggest advantage of mesh high-back chairs is their good breathability, allowing air to circulate freely on the seat surface, reducing the feeling of stuffiness, especially suitable for summer use. At the same time, mesh fabrics come in a variety of colors, meeting the decorative needs of different office environments. However, mesh materials are relatively inconvenient for daily cleaning and maintenance, as small debris can easily fall into the seat cushion, requiring regular cleaning.
The materials for other structural components of office chairs are equally important. The seat is usually composed of wood, sponge, and fabric, with fabric options including hemp, mesh, and leather. The backrest may use a steel frame or plastic frame combined with mesh, ensuring both support and breathability. The chassis is commonly made of metal with a mechanical explosion-proof mechanism, effectively ensuring safety during use. The chair wheels are mostly made of PA material, supporting omnidirectional rotation, facilitating flexible movement of the office chair in all directions. The chair legs are generally made of nylon, with high strength and toughness, capable of bearing the weight of the human body. In addition, structural components such as frames and bases often use metals (such as aluminum alloy) or high-strength engineering plastics, ensuring the stability and safety of the office chair and providing reliable support for users.
