Office Chair Mats
The main types of mats suitable for office chairs include rattan cushion mats and ice-silk cooling cushion mats.
Rattan Cushion Mats: These are relatively common and well-suited for office chairs. Made from natural rattan weaving material, they possess numerous excellent characteristics. Cool and breathable is one of their notable advantages. The gaps between the rattan strips facilitate air circulation, preventing the user from feeling stuffy on the buttocks and back during prolonged sitting at work, and maintaining dryness and comfort. Their moisture-absorbing and heat-dissipating function is also highly prominent. When the body sweats, the rattan mat can quickly absorb the sweat and dissipate it, avoiding discomfort caused by sweat accumulation. Moreover, rattan cushion mats usually have an interlayer in the middle, increasing their softness and elasticity. Sitting on them does not feel overly hard, effectively reducing the pressure on the body from prolonged sitting and enhancing office comfort. In terms of price, they are relatively affordable. For example, the 2026 new rattan sofa cooling cushion mat for summer costs 9.41 yuan, and the summer cooling cushion mat, rattan mat, office chair mat, boss's computer chair mat, and cooling pad also cost 9.41 yuan each. Both offer drop-shipping and a 7-day exchange service, with delivery times of 48 hours respectively.
Ice-Silk Cooling Cushion Mats: These cushion mats provide a cool touch and are especially suitable for use in summer. They are made of special ice-silk material, which has a good cooling effect, making the user feel cool upon contact. Their design is usually in the form of a full-cover new-style cooling mat, which can better fit the shape of the office chair and provide a comprehensive cooling experience. However, the price of ice-silk cooling cushion mats is relatively higher than that of rattan cushion mats. For example, the summer ice-silk cooling sofa cushion mat, a full-cover new-style cooling mat, costs 103.0 yuan. It also offers drop-shipping and a 7-day exchange service, with a delivery time of 72 hours.
When choosing an office chair mat, one can decide based on their budget, the need for coolness, and personal preferences. If one pursues cost-effectiveness and natural materials, a rattan cushion mat is a good choice; if one places more emphasis on coolness and overall fit and has a relatively sufficient budget, an ice-silk cooling cushion mat is more appropriate.
