Office Chair Mat Sizes

Admin October 16, 2026

Common sizes for office chair mats include two specifications: 60×150cm and 40cm×40cm. For sofa mats, the main combinations are lengths ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 meters and widths from 0.6 to 1.2 meters. Selection should be based on actual needs to match the appropriate size.

The size design of office chair mats is usually related to the type of chair. The 60×150cm specification is mostly a long, rectangular mat suitable for office chairs with backrests. It can cover the seat surface and part of the backrest area, providing a more comprehensive cooling experience. This size is suitable for medium to large office chairs, especially those with a seat width exceeding 50cm, preventing the mat edges from hanging or wrinkling. The 40cm×40cm specification is a square, small mat primarily aimed at backless or small office chairs, such as computer chairs and conference chairs, covering only the core area of the seat surface, suitable for scenarios with limited space or requiring flexible movement.

The size selection of sofa mats should be combined with the type of sofa and usage scenarios. Among the length specifications, 1.2 meters is suitable for single sofas or small double sofas, 1.5 meters is a common size for standard double sofas, and 1.8 meters and 2.0 meters are used for large triple sofas or modular sofas. In terms of width specifications, 0.6 meters and 0.8 meters are mostly used for narrow sofas or as backrest cushions, while 1.0 meters and 1.2 meters are conventional seat widths that can cover most sofa seats. For example, a mat measuring 1.8 meters in length and 1.0 meters in width can fit most triple sofas, while a specification of 1.2 meters in length and 0.6 meters in width is suitable for use as sofa armrest cushions or children's sofas.

When selecting, pay attention to three points: First, measure the actual size. Use a tape measure to measure the length, width, and backrest height of the office chair or sofa seat to ensure that the mat edges can fit the seat contour, avoiding excessive sliding due to being too large or incomplete coverage due to being too small. Second, consider usage habits. If you need to wrap the backrest, choose a specification with a length exceeding the seat depth; if you only need to cool the seat surface, prioritize choosing a size that matches the seat width. Third, reserve adjustment space. Mat materials (such as bamboo mats and rattan mats) may undergo slight shrinkage or expansion due to temperature changes. It is recommended to choose a specification that is slightly larger (1-2cm) than the actual size, which will fit better after being fixed with straps or anti-slip particles.
