Office Chair Marking
Admin October 08, 2026
Office chair marking mainly involves two aspects: marking operations and marking frequency.

Marking Operations
The core of marking chairs (mostly office/recreational chairs with adjustable functions) is to adjust the seat height, backrest angle, cushion position, etc., through the chair's built-in control components to suit sitting posture needs.
- Seat Height Adjustment: Most of these chairs have a lever at the front bottom for adjusting the seat height. Pulling the lever (presumably a misspelling of 'wrench' or 'lever') allows the seat to move up and down using the internal gas lift. Once the appropriate height is found, release the lever to lock the position. It is easier to adjust when slightly lifting your body off the seat.
- Backrest Angle Adjustment: The location of the backrest angle adjustment component varies; it may be on the side or rear of the seat bottom, often in the form of a knob or an additional lever. If it is a lever, pulling it allows the backrest to recline flexibly, suitable for a relaxed state; if it is a knob, turning it clockwise tightens to lock the angle, preventing the backrest from wobbling.
- Cushion Forward/Backward Adjustment: Some chairs are designed with a cushion that can move forward and backward. The adjustment component is located at the rear of the seat bottom. Pulling or pushing the handle allows you to adjust the support position for your hips, preventing your lower back from hanging in the air during prolonged sitting.
Marking Frequency
The frequency of marking chairs depends on the purpose of the marking and the usage scenario.
- Daily Maintenance Marking: For chairs used in ordinary households or offices, markings are mostly maintenance reminders, such as seat surface cleaning reminders or frame inspection markings. These markings do not wear out quickly and can be checked every 1-3 months, focusing on confirming whether the markings are clear and whether the corresponding chair structure and condition are normal.
- High-Frequency Public Scenario Marking: Public chairs used frequently, such as those in internet cafes, school desks and chairs, and mall rest areas, are subject to high stress and wear out quickly, causing markings to easily fall off or become blurred. It is recommended to check them every 2 weeks to 1 month and replace any ineffective markings promptly to avoid usage issues or safety hazards caused by unclear markings.
- Functional Safety Marking: Markings related to safety or function, such as safety lock markings on folding chairs or gear adjustment markings on gaming chairs, directly affect usage safety and function. More frequent checks are required, and it is recommended to inspect them every month. If a marking is damaged or displaced, it should be updated immediately to prevent jamming or operational errors during use.
- Special Circumstance Marking: If a chair has been moved, repaired, or has experienced bumps or significant wear, additional checks should be conducted temporarily to ensure that the markings accurately reflect the chair's condition.
