Office Chair Malfunction Issues
The following are common malfunctions of office chairs and their solutions:

Reclining too fast or reclining failure
If the chair reclines too quickly or cannot be adjusted, first check whether the reclining function is locked. Some chairs have a lock button, and adjusting it to the unlocked state will solve the problem. If the issue persists, check the hydraulic rod, adjustment handle, or screw tightness: an aging hydraulic rod may lead to a decrease in support force and needs to be replaced; a damaged adjustment handle or loose screws can affect functional stability and require tightening or replacement of parts.Height adjustment stuttering/abnormal noise
Abnormal noise or stuttering during height adjustment is usually related to metal friction at the connection between the gas rod and other components. Do not lubricate the gas rod directly (it has a high-pressure sealed structure inside, and lubrication may damage the seal). Focus on treating the connection surface between the base and the gas rod: use sandpaper to polish burrs or rust at the contact area to reduce friction. If the gas rod itself is leaking or aging, it needs to be replaced.Inflexible rotation
The rotation resistance of theๅบ็่ฝฌ็่ฝจ้ (chassis turntable track) increases due to long-term use or dust accumulation. You can apply white lithium grease (NLGI 2 viscosity grade) on the track. Its high-temperature resistance and anti-wear properties are suitable for lubricating metal parts. Before application, clean the dust and old lubricant in the track to prevent impurities from accelerating wear.Loose armrests/difficult adjustment
The internal rack of the armrest height adjustment buckle becomes loose due to wear or insufficient lubrication. You need to disassemble the armrest assembly and apply a small amount of grease (such as silicone-based grease) on the contact surface of the rack to avoid excessive application that may attract dust. If the rack is severely worn, the entire armrest assembly needs to be replaced.Backrest rebound failure
The plastic gear set of the synchronous backrest loses rebound force due to long-term use or dry lubrication. Apply food-grade grease (such as polytetrafluoroethylene grease) on the gear meshing area. This type of grease is non-corrosive and less likely to stain clothes. After application, repeatedly adjust the backrest angle to evenly distribute the grease.Poor wheel rolling
The wheel axle has poor rolling due to dust accumulation or insufficient lubrication. First, use a cotton swab to remove hair and debris from the gaps in the wheel axle, and then apply a small amount of grease (such as lithium-based grease). If the wheel surface is severely worn or the wheel foot is deformed, replace it with a matching wheel assembly.Tilting to one side
First, check whether the wheels are in contact with a flat ground when the chair is placed upright and upside down: if a single wheel foot is bent or deformed, replace it with a new one. If the wheels are in good condition and the ground has no depressions, further check the seat plate: a cracked seat plate or loose connectors can cause a shift in the center of gravity, and the seat plate needs to be reinforced or replaced.
